Nearly half a billion dollars flooding into our elections from one man. When Elon writes massive checks to GOP super PACs, it can obscure where his money is being spent. But via his own super PAC, America PAC, we can see exactly which elections he wants to buy. Let's dive in... 🧵

You don't have to do this, @cbcradiocanada.bsky.social. It's a choice. They want to defund you. They think you're a propaganda arm of an evil government. You will never win them over by showing them grace when they show absolutely none towards you.

Alberta separatist leader Mitch Sylvestre starts railing against the “new world order and globalism” on CBC News Network’s live broadcast just now

@montanaskeptic.bsky.social we’d talked about who the Dems should run in 2028 (you liked Rahm, IIRC?). I wasn’t sure then; Ossoff looks promising now. Like el-Sayed, he seems like a left populist who rejects “purity” and punches back. I still love AOC o/c. 😊

Apparently at around 1:30 PM ET, the main accounts for the No Kings coalition on Instagram were frozen and pulled down. Admins have lost access to the account and are unable to log in. This happened at the peak of the organization's national day of action. Instagram, of course, is owned by Meta.

yes, even your old Tesla with the bumper sticker is helping prop up Elon Musk's empire every time you charge the racism, the Putin enabling, the data centers choking black neighborhoods with pollution... you own a little piece of it all every time you plug in insideevs.com/news/811797/...

insideevs.comTesla Supercharging Prices Have Jumped 15% In A YearThe average price for a non-member, non-Tesla EV to charge at a Supercharger has increased by 15% year-over-year according to the latest data in a Paren study.

my point here is not that David Brooks is a hypocrite. My point is that David Brooks is a shitty, prissy little scold who just wants to lash out at Democrats and doesn't care whether he has a real reason to or not and is too fucking stupid to consider for a moment how dumb his position is.

just to emphasize what's happening here: BMW (a company that used slave labor under the Nazis) refused to provide an official vehicle to the ultra right-wing AfD party, which is now asking Elon Musk to provide a Tesla instead Tesla literally becoming the Nazi car brand

The party is now turning to the man who has been the go-to person for those suffering from spontaneous contractions of the right arm, and who has already provided them with strong support in recent years.

I'm just gonna bookmark this for future reference when Dem pundits complain about how the party has trouble communicating its message to voters. The reason you keep running into trouble with your branding isn't campus radicals. The reason is that your opponents purchased all the media outlets.

Elon Musk has repeatedly used his platform to support authoritarian political figures. His backing of the AfD, Marine Le Pen, Javier Milei and Nayib Bukele has been accompanied by interventions in Brazil, Italy and Hungary, as well as direct involvement in the UK’s far-right political landscape.
