a bonus completely random crossover but relevant at this exact moment only:
one former plant operator recounted finding a complete DVD set of the first season of Glee on our bar racks, go figure
Ramaswamy stooge Connie Luck claimed we "don't know what happened with Dr. Acton and her mother."
Yet the historical record is clear, and Ramaswamy is platforming the mother who stayed married to Acton's rapist in a desperate attempt to save his political career.

Just got myself *another* cheap Thinkpad and getting back into Linux. Stay tuned for more Expo demos on bargain bin hardware. Digging Paseo for agent orchestration, Android Studio was easy to install as a Snap package and Expo Orbit had no trouble launching emulators after that.
If division winners with worse records than non-division winners is a problem for MLB, it's not a new one. The 2026 American League is basically the 1987 AL with more steps.
Nearly three out of four desktops in the world are not Macs. @keith.bsky.social ran an iOS Simulator with Fast Refresh on a Windows on ARM laptop, a machine that can't run Android Studio either. The phone was a browser tab the whole time π€―

Every day, I'm more and more convinced that AI is amazing at writing computer code and absolute horseshit at writing prose. I tried to get just a little help on some talk abstracts, not a single useful word came out of it. Switching on Fable may have made it even worse.
This weekend, EAS Simulators helped me achieve a long-unfulfilled dream: running a simulator next to VS Code on Windows on ARM. WOA doesn't support Android Studio or even 3rd party Android emulators and MS dropped support for Windows Subsystem for Android on the Snapdragon X.
this was also an interesting prompt flow where Claude kept changing its mind every time I simply asked a question about clarifying what it had just said.
I have no freakin' clue how to use tokens. I've been vibin' all week. What did I do so far?
- Made a WearOS-to-phone PoC
- three shipped PR's on code I usually don't work with
- presentation content
- refactor Chain React workshop template + build new lessons
- compared AC replacement options
Sometimes it's hard to find a project that is both approachable and legitimately fills an untapped niche.
I just got a Pixel Watch. There's like..._one_ podcast player app that isn't tied to a subscription service, and it's just OK.
Resolved: I'm gonna make the best podcatcher for WearOS.
Joe: I am a 73 year-old retired mechanic in Forsberg, Nebraska. My 3 biggest problems are Iran's uranium enrichment capability, the casting of Helen in Christopher Nolan's "Odyssey," and the ability of Tennesseeans to check out "Roots" from a library
1000 media outlets: can we please talk at length
I totally forgot until today that Class 3 ebikes aren't supposed to have a throttle. Easy to forget when most leave the throttle working in class 3 mode. I find the throttle super-useful for kicking off from a stop in heavy traffic, makes cars less inclined to pass me.

Trump gathered all of the very worst people in the country in one place and got them to break a million laws and then pardoned all of them, and now local law enforcement has to go get them one by one as they commit new crimes.
Today, Claude Design helped me get my dream personal site started...fully-themed like MacOS System 6! You can even drag sections into the trash to "break" the site :-D. Still need to swap out the placeholder content, but it works and is published on Expo Hosting llamaluvr--d62ig6azqa.expo.app
for reasons I can't articulate, I have now added a feature whereby, if you drag a section into the trash and then try to open the same section from the File menu, you get a file not found error.

The Cambria Portland is the official conference hotel, which means more time with the people you came to meet (plus great coffee and food a short walk away).
Book before it sells out! π

All Samsung support docs say quite explicitly that you should leave foldable phone screen protector replacements to the professionals, but Samsung AI chat is like, "nah, go for it, any screen protector will do".

Gonna try running Windows 11 in Boot Camp on an old Intel Mac, thought it would take a little more, but Groupon just offered me a Windows 11 Pro license for $9.72!
UPDATE: this feels a little sketch, it's through some MyCodes24 thing... guess we'll see!

Build real apps. For real businesses.
This is the concept for our Hackathon in Prague next week. If you're in Prague & you build apps go ahead and register.
We'll be there to support the build process. And we'll provide credits to make sure you aren't blocked by anything. luma.com/Expo_STRV_Ha...
The dumbest timeline. Politico posts a piece about how relieved Republicans are that the president has finally figured out how to end the Iran War ... two minutes AFTER the Guardian reports that the Revolutionary Guard attacked a tanker in the Strait.
The iOS feature to free up disk space by offloading apps is so weird. I have an iPad that I only do a few specific things on, but has a ton of apps I've tried only once. So... what does it remove from my device to reclaim some of that precious 64 GB?

π₯³ We raised some money.
Expo is the best it's ever been, and this round of funding will help us get a lot better.
With this money we can go faster on the things that matter: faster builds, smoother native integrations, and better e-2-e DX.

Security goes harder at the Wolstein Center for a high school robotic's competition than TSA or most government buildings. All so they can sell you an incredibly limited array of subpar concessions. This is why I avoid this place otherwise. Sorry, CSU basketball.
