And if possible, I would rather this be written in pure Python. There's enough I/O here that if we can get the packaging specs and pip updated then this doesn't inherently have to be "slow" as uv's wins are mostly not due to Rust (although it does help).

Rust isn't actually allowed in CPython (yet); it's still an open PEP. As for forking uv, I think it's more complicated than necessary for beginners (it has a ton of knobs). It also skirts packaging standards in the name of speed.

It's no secret that I want a cross-platform Python Launcher that can install pre-compiled CPython binaries, run Python code easily (both projects by handling virtual environments transparently and inline script metadata), and pipx-like tool running and installation. And all of this from python.org.

After a lot of scientific unplugging/plugging back in, rebooting and authorization, the USB4 port on a Beelink does output video via the caldigit TS4s DisplayPort. You can get a dual display setup using the HDMI port on the beelink and the DisplayPort on the dock

update - Windows, Linux and MacOS are working fine with the Caldigit TS4. DisplayPort issues that I was seeing with Linux went away after running fwupdmgr, though I wish I could tell what I did exactly to get it working.

Upgraded the server to Ubuntu 26.04, and from what I remember, it's the first time that VMware Workstation worked out of the box – no kernel module update errors, etc. As usual the OS upgrade went without a hitch #ubuntu

Italy, falling short to England by 30, but putting one hell of a fight. Amazing world cup debut I also learnt that the world cup commentary is happening in Japanese and Portuguese....had no idea cricket was booming in Japan and Brazil 🤯

waking the pc up from sleep causes the dp to only see 60hz on the monitor connected from the dock. Replugging the DisplayPort sets everything back properly

SSDs are pretty reliable in a technical sense.
That is, unless you make a really, really bad mistake in firmware.
HP had a line of ~20 different Enterprise SSD models for datacenter use.

#FantasticFour is it delight. By being in a separate universe it doesn’t have any baggage, it feels more like a comic book movie than just about anything I’ve seen lately. Absolutely stylized, and even though we’ve clearly reached Peak Pedro, it’s still a breath of fresh air. The Thing is awesome
