The Charles Booker Senate campaign posted, then immediately deleted, this fully AI attack ad against Andy Barr - which ironically spends a lot of time hitting Barr on alleged support for data centers. Thankfully, I was able to screen record it before it got removed. (Not stellar audio)

Commonwealth Conservative Coalition just dropped another $189K on ads supporting GOP legislative candidates in Kentucky. That makes #kyga26 PAC ad spending: Pro-GOP candidates: $1.1 million Pro-Dem candidates: $16,000

My latest on fundraising and PACs in Kentucky's statewide races next year, where Rocky Adkins is jumping out to a huge $$$ lead in #kygov race. And sweet interactive map with @justinhicks.lpm.org!

Former Beshear advisor Rocky Adkins has tripled the fundraising haul of Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, his main Democratic rival in the 2027 Kentucky governor’s race. #kygov Adkins is also aided by a super PAC that raised another $285K, together breaking $2 million in less than three months.

Man it sure would be a shame if China started heavily investing in local news and then the U.S. had to race them to make more local news rooms first.

PEOPLE: “But the reporters will make noise and drink water from our rural towns and pollute it into a brown sludge of coffee!” INDUSTRY: “So what?! We have to have more educated and civically engaged people or else we will turn into China!! Do you want that? Do you? I didn’t think so!”

12 layoffs at the Herald-Leader today, including myself. I'll say more later, but the support I've gotten from the city I am so proud to call home has been life changing. All I've wanted to do since moving to Lexington is serve the city well - you all have, I think, really helped me achieve that.

Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."
