Not only is X throttling external links, but it is also messing with its public pages. Without an account, you don't see the conversation if you go to a post. Instead, you get ads to sign up. If you visit profiles, the latest posts are not there. Useless for microblogging. Harmful to the open web.

Vite 6.0.9 / 5.4.12 / 4.5.6 has been released with *breaking changes* due to security issues. I recommend upgrading it. Some users may need to update the config options. Please check github.com/vitejs/vite/... if you encountered any errors.

Run out of time for today, but have been playing with: - starting from scratch - full page components - wire:navigate - forms - fields - validation - computed properties (i.e. Eloquent) - persist across navigation (including redirects) "dirty" was doing weird things so will keep playing there.

Working on my long-overdue In Depth for Securing Laravel, and I've got a really fun topic to cover this time: Top Authentication Fails. I'm covering examples of terrible auth I've come across, usually resulting in bypassing some (or all) of the auth process. 😈 Any guesses?

I think one of the main issues people run into coming from Vue is that Livewire components shouldn't be used as readily as you do Vue components. Like in Vue you might make an <Input> component for styling, where as you shouldn't do that with Livewire, instead use Blade components for them.

I find people can struggle coming to Livewire from Inertia/Vue. See my responses to @marty.friedel.au below on why I think that is. TL;DR - Livewire components don't work the same way as you'd expect. And also Inertia/Vue might just suit you better, so it's great Inertia and Livewire both exist!
