Was telling a friend that my therapy lately feels a bit like digging up something radioactive: I'm uncovering new understandings that are infecting everything. But accepting them, wrapping my arms around them, and carrying them away hurts me even more! I can only hope the ground will heal once I do.

Before COVID, I tracked down 25yrs of my medical records by hand: I called every old clinic, filing requests, chasing them for weeks! Wrote a new post on why that whole slog is exactly the kind of thing you should be handing to #AI now (and how to do it safely): jordankrueger.com/blog/health-...

jordankrueger.comYou're not using AI to its full potential — Jordan KruegerMost people use AI for scraps — write this email, summarize that. The real unlock is handing it a big, tedious life project. Here's how I'd gather 25 years of my own medical records today, safely.

Absolutely bananas. I hope this judge ends up behind bars and all these prisoners are pardoned immediately by the next president.

Judge O’Connor stated from the bench that he is giving maximum sentences to the Prairieland sentences because “the state wants to send a message to anyone who shares a similar ideology.”

“If companies like @Microsoft.com and Amazon want the social license to keep building these projects that overhaul entire landscapes, they need to significantly ramp up investment in renewable energy and do right by local communities,” Taft said.

When Hitler fell, the purging of that mindset wasn’t de-Hitlerification, it was de-Nazification. When Saddam fell, it wasn’t de-Saddamification, it was de-Baathification. When Trump falls, it will be de-MAGAfication, not de-Trumpification. The entire movement’s hatred and corruption must be purged.

This club has everything: sweaty construction workers harnessed to poles. Desperate liberals shouting about crowbars. And voyeurs streaming video of a wall to millions.

This might be one of the most insane scandals in game history When Pokemon Go players scan PokeStops, theyve been unknowingly building a detailed visual model of the world which is being sold to a military contractor to build a no-GPS positioning for the new generation of unmanned killing machines

This is the kind of stuff I love about building with #Claude. I told it my boyfriend was coming over and he hasn't seen a bunch of must-watch movies from the 80s and 90s that I love, and asked it to make a page he could load from his phone to decide on one. Look at what it came up with:

Trans people are not “fighting for unpopular positions that society isn’t ready for.” Trans people are fighting to KEEP the rights we have enjoyed for decades. We have been able to legally change our gender markers since the 70s and before. Same with bathrooms, sports, youth, all for decades.

I think this episode might make some people angry, but it contains a tremendously important insight: if you have enough storage on the grid, large new loads can soak up unused capacity & *reduce rates*. Handled correctly, data centers can make electricity cheaper for everyone.

I don't know how you can write an article like this without basically sitting down and saying "I am going to lie to my readers today." I really truly don't understand what's going through the minds of people who write this stuff.

There are so many insane wildly misleading stories coming out about data centers almost every day now that I'm mostly having to give up on commenting on them to focus on actually getting blog posts out, but it feels like a tsunami. This is one of them. Will go into it in a thread below.

“officials discovered two industrial-scale water hookups feeding a data center campus located 20 miles south of downtown Atlanta. One water connection had been installed without the utility’s knowledge, and the other was not linked to the company’s account and therefore wasn’t being billed.”

People hated the internet, too. They mocked people who used it, with stereotypes that have only just faded away in the last few years. They called it a fad. They questioned why anyone would want an email address. The internet was relentlessly skewered in late night jokes and skit shows.

I run IT for nonprofits—and stay pretty well informed about this stuff—and all the surveys and data from device monitoring done by third parties shows that people are using it for work A LOT.

Data centers aren’t the main issue with your electricity bill. In some cases, they actually push costs down for other ratepayers. Congress must act to modernize the grid.
