pink muhly grass absolutely throwing ass today. how do you pronounce muhly? i don’t know. im not going to read your comments if you tell me, im going to wait for it to come up in a real person conversation and just give it a shot. the risk of embarrassment is what gives life its spark

I bet you could build a pretty cool wrestling match out of spots based on these, in this sequence.

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps: -It’s ‘sleight of hand’ -It’s ‘bated breath’ -It’s ‘lo and behold’ -It's 'buck naked' -It’s ‘brass tacks’ -It’s ‘free rein’ -It’s ‘toe the line'

Per the lede here: Avi Lewis is leader of the NDP, which is technically "one of Canada's top opposition parties." But the NDP currently commands the least amount of leverage, with the least amount of seats in the House of Commons in many, many years. www.ign.com/articles/can...

I started at BioWare on a work visa from the US, and earn my Canadian citizenship just a few years ago. This is an extremely bad way to frame its closure, and an intentional misunderstanding of how/why immigration works.

Going to be doing a bunch of interviews with CBC Radio stations across Canada about the BioWare closure later this afternoon. Certainly not the story I would have wanted my first-ever CBC syndication run to be about, but I do really appreciate being invited nonetheless.

Very heavy news as our former studio, BioWare closes its doors today. It was a formative place for many. However, many former BioWare devs are scattered around the industry. Find them, support them. Like, follow, comment and help us prove there is still support for the types of games we make!

It's always bothered me that Canadian games don't get more recognition here. Even the "Made in Canada" ads only have a tiny shot of Assassin's Creed. Mass Effect alone is one of our biggest cultural exports, and we should have shouted that from the heavens. Many failed BioWare, but we did, too.

Chris Holski@chrisholski.bsky.social

One thing that's so tragic about this is how little this means to the greater Canadian consciousness. Many love BioWare but most are unaware of it. They put out the greatest piece of blockbuster media in Canadian history in the Mass Effect trilogy. Most of the country never heard of it.

EA shutters BioWare and carves through other teams months after after Saudi-led buyout An internal email obtained by Vertical Slice states EA is also "bringing together" Respawn and DICE to work on a new shooter.

If anyone in Canada has been affected by the EA/Bioware announcement and would like to talk about it, email's in my profile. Can discuss on the record/on background etc.

Can't wait to try out FF Resonance after seeing the positive reviews, but as one of the relatively few longtime Brave Exvius sickos I'm left wondering if they'll make a sequel now, since Season 2 is where things *really* get good.

Half of the EB Games store on Toronto's Yonge St is now a dedicated Nintendo store. But if you ask me, the real unsung star is in their used games display on the "normal" side of the store.

Checked out Nintendo's first North American store-within-a-store at EB Games in Toronto! Very cool to see Canada get something like this at last. Spoke with Nintendo Canada boss Susan Pennefather about bringing it to life, expansion plans & whether Canada might ever get a dedicated Nintendo Store.

you can treat the people who say 'video games are for children' the same way you treat people who say 5G is controlling your mind. that is, to ignore them. we're 40. Games have been around since the 70s. your grandmother plays wordle on her phone. we don't need these handwringing defenses

I just learned there are TWO of them and they're twins?!?!

We were kids when Ocarina on the N64 came out. Only fair to keep the new generation in mind for the remake. (sorry, some of you old weird nerds)

I've played an hour of Nintendo's Ocarina of Time remake, and found a game that feels like a safe update of an all-time classic, and one that might be more approachable for younger audiences than Breath of the Wild https://www.crossplay.news/p/so-far-nintendos-zelda-remake-feels

Addendum: the Switch version in the review period was exceptionally poor with input lag to the point I said it was nearly unplayable. But the Day 1 (Day -2?) patch has improved it to a great degree. It still isn't as pretty as the other versions but you shouldn't have too bad a time with it.

I don't like most new-ish Metroidvania games out there, so it was a breath of fresh air to go back to Castlevania with Belmont's Curse. The game kicks ass! It will also kick your ass. It's probably tuned a little too far in the latter. But it's a hell of a good time. www.cbc.ca/news/enterta...
