Weekend art experiments 😅 I made a little editor for making these kind of flowing paint artworks. #fluidart #fluidpainting #abstractart #digitalart #generativeart

the funnel - 80% of the world has no AI contact - ~20% have janky experience - 0.2% are power users - 0.00006% work for labs and have internal access to actual frontier models

a weird inversion with LLMs is the models improve faster than the tinkerers when i see people with custom workflows and setups they're all addressing problems that don't exist anymore the person naively using vanilla codex is more likely to be experiencing state of the art

Jev: Fable-level model that doesn’t charge for output tokens because they’re too cheap to meter it’s not general though, it only makes decisions, doesn’t generate text, but input tokens are measured by the billion ($42/btok) typesafe.ai/blog/introdu...

nobody played so might as well give the answer: its like 5 to 10 hours depending on what numbers u use.

Can you guess how much electricity it takes to generate 15k images on google cloud with a recent image model? reply with answers in x hours of this 2000 W space heater. Closest answer gets a like.

AI haters wont let you know this simple trick: "check sources on that"

uh huh. i think what paul what's-his-fuck is missing is that wikipedia generally resolved that particular issue by rigorously moderating, vetting sources, banning malicious users, and being incredibly transparent about process i can't think of a less apt comparison to an llm

more discord like, for every dm / group chat we also show realted posts, could be cool if we do group chats for events like #objkt4objkt, then we can highlight those posts in the same view with the chat messages

thread numbering was hit feature in beta, so we made it generally available. i'm personally enjoying it quite a lot — helps me decide which posts to tap in feeds. thanks to all who gave feedback during the beta. it really helped our team refine this before today's general release!

Thread numbering is out of beta! Threaded posts are now automatically numbered, to help you follow along. Check out the automatic numbering on this thread to see it in action.

I dislike digressing into politics, but I'll say this: The people I've encountered online who are most opposed to AI all have one thing in common and it's not their politics. They are all of them so far without exception catastrophically uninformed and really happy to be that way.

its been said many times but it is absolutely insane to watch the left shoot themselves in the foot by hopping on this anti-AI train. a massive generational L awaits.

All of you westerners who complain all the time about AI slop have no idea how bad it can get, on Chinese streaming platforms they now have a entire category for 100% AI generated movies and it's way worse than you (yes, even you, AI hater) expect.

With Kimi K3, you can now run a near-frontier model at 0.6 tok/s on consumer hardware or at normal speeds for $300K of professional hardware. In practice, this is useless. However, it's a massive improvement over ~0 tok/s consumer or millions of dollars in professional hardware. More to come!

TezCon26 may be over, but the surge in community spirit is still very much alive. So much so that a date is already locked in for TezCon 2027. 👀 Here's a short recap from the main event, with more highlight reels and follow-up coverage on the way.
