A person at my gig tonight told me that in Algeria it is seaguls rather than storks who deliver babies. I know that both are just a story told to children but I couldn't imagine trusting a seagul with my infant. I imagine it would eat it whole at the first opportunity.

My main takeaway from the Shane Gillis thing is that American standup is absolute wank. I honestly don't understand why the US stand up scene is viewed with such reverence. There are more jokes and more ideas at any night at a glee club than all of Dave Chappelle's netflix specials put together.

In this episode I got to use my favourite way of showing a child character's father or older brother onscreen without causing loads of headache for the animators designing a new character and that is to simply have the child character with a beard.

He said something about a big jock which I repeated enthusiastically because it sounded fun to say. Mixed response to that and another guy on the front row who I knew to be a copper gave a stern "No" and a cut it out gesture. Apparently a very controversial sectarian chant.

A guy on the front row said "it's this teams stadium" and revealed a tattoo of a club logo. All I could make out from the logo was the letter C so I said "oh, I see it's the Celtic stadium" He didn't like me saying that. I explained that the only sport I know anything about is Robot Wars...
