Liberals who've spent the last 40 years addicted to compromising because it makes them feel superior have no capacity to understand that there isn't any time for that now. The fascism is here. You're not fending it off or keeping it at bay. It's right here right now.

Trans people are screwed either way; we are not your sacrifice. You all could have been spending this cycle harassing the candidates, telling them this is not what you want. Instead, you've decided to attack and harass trans people to try to get us to vote for our oppressors.

Update on the use of AI text in Chaosium Community Content programs @drivethrurpg.com. TL/DR: Don't use it in our programs. AI is not art. It is theft from you and every writer who has gone before you, repackaged dishonestly and shamelessly as original. www.chaosium.com/blogupdate-o...

Not only no culture, but no *commons*. The dependency on the capitalist overlords will be complete, because you can’t ask for help or context from others when there is no common frame of reference. This has already happened in coding, the first space where they destroyed the commons we’d all built.
this is the ultimate end point of capitalism, ai will completely atomize everyone and there will be zero shared experiences. there will be no culture, only pure consumption. this must be resisted

To the woman's credit: she defied the court and shared the footage anyway, which shows a state trooper blowing away two trained police dogs as they trotted to him, in response to an active break-in where the dogs were detaining the burglar Cops are great
An appeals court ruled this week the NC dog trainer may not share footage of a trooper fatally shooting her two trained police dogs during a 2024 car break-in on her property.

At some point during their growth, big tech companies reduced users to mere data points, believing they truly understood them. Perhaps that was their greatest misconception about user understanding—and the moment metrics became a core part of their mission. Check part V out: 👇👇👇👇

Yes this! Also who's out here writing a book so EXACTLY INTERCHANGEABLE with another author's book that a reader would, in theory, only buy one of the two? Nobody! Books books books delicious books Nothing more delicious than a book I want ALL writers to write more books for me
The idea of authors being in competition with each other is bizarre to me. Books aren't cars. We don't get just one.
There’s also the probability that an awful lot of the folks working within and around this administration don’t actually intend to HAVE any more elections that they can lose. So public opinion doesn’t really matter to them, as long as they can keep enough of the brute squad on the hook.
I guess where I'm going with this is these guys are losers and the party should realize their approach leads only to destruction, but that doesn't mean that from *their* perspective, that they didn't succeed at their goals.
Unfortunately, that would require us to have a completely different Democratic Party than the one we’ve actually got right now.
Anyway, Trumpism is a shocking political failure. If the Democrats can come up with a compelling, persuasive message and policy vision, the GOP has, I think, essentially handed them an opportunity for another Progressive Era or New Deal era (or Reagan Era) - a long period of political dominance.

So, I want to bring up a kind of weird angle. The approach failed if the goal was to win elections. Was the goal to win elections? An example. In the last election, Elon Musk paid for many anti-trans electoral ads across the nation. In this election, this *seems* to be happening again—
