I really feel that my day will come and I'll just walk away from the internet too

⭑ salma@whitep4nth3r.com

Hi, friends. The last 6 years have been a blast, but I just don't like being on The Internet anymore. I'm leaving DevRel, and I wrote a little bit about why. Look after yourselves, and each other. Love, Salma

Interesting to put the Founders and the guy they were warning about next to each other

I don’t think it literally says “welcome, but be good” as far as I can tell.

There's a great deal that's alarming about the Prairieland sentencing, regardless of how one views the shooter, but the biggest deal is 30 years for a man who wasn't there, convicted of moving a box of zines while knowing protesters. Consider the implications. theintercept.com/2026/06/23/p...

My company has a bot you can invite to your meeting, but only if you're the organizer. I created an automatic flow to forward the bot the meetings I accepted. Thinking I was clever, I went away for the night

Working for a company that build stuff for entrepreneurs is really fun. One month I was learning about cattle management and all the different species, races and genomes of sheeps, bovine and ovine. Now I am learning about optics and how lenses and sensors work to capture an image

Imagine if employers were willing to spend this kind of money upskilling their employees or paying for dev tools? Or stop doing open plan offices? The only time they want to invest in dev «productivity» is when they think they can get rid of us all together.

Weirdly today I have to deal with a lot of enshittification: locked out of a Microsoft account so my grandma can't use her computer for 30 days. Win11 is just fn awful, can't do shit if not connected to the Internet

Then Facebook events for a family party: if your guests haven't activated priority notifications on your event, they won't receive a notification they have been invited. How are they supposed to know they have to do anything for something they can't see? FB pushes for ads to promote your event....

No deficit speedrun in 6 months

When we took office, NYC had a $12B deficit. Today it’s zero. And we didn’t close that gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets, & public housing. Call it Pothole Politics or Democratic Socialism: We are government that delivers for the people.

Sadly, I’m not at all surprised at this, since it was unlikely that Alberta’s awful Premier would let Ontario’s awful premier hold the title for “leader most likely to endanger people, make traffic congestion worse, & hurt the success of cities, all to score dumb ideological points with their base.”

Imagine talking about any other public service this way. Does the government keep public hospitals “afloat”? What about when it gave Marine Atlantic $169 million to support its operations in 24/25? The media does the bidding of those who want to private Canada Post when they adopt this framing.

I'm glad I was kind of paying attention and not playing too much with my cutting knife. Shout out to my friend that liked to play Knife Game and once stabbed his finger

The greatest marketing trick the AI industry ever pulled was convincing the whole world that it is inevitable. That human like intelligence is only a matter of time. We spend almost all the time talking about what AI “will” be able to do rather than what It can do.

your "claude number" is the version of claude required to peel you off from reality. yes, it's funny that richard dawkins' claude number is only 4.7, but you have one too. maybe it's 12. but maybe its 4.8.

I do wish it was better understood by now—especially by folks in the media—that these "warnings" from large AI corporations in fact function as "advertisements" www.axios.com/2025/04/22/a...

I spent nearly 4 months investigating the inner workings of a North Korean state-sponsored hacking group. Here's what I learned: 🧵 - The group used generative AI tools to aid in almost every part of their operation. - They exfiltrated 26,584 cryptocurrency wallets from 2,726 victim systems. 1/3
