When I was job searching I needed help keeping track of my applications and improving my chances of getting an interviews. So I created apptrack.ing and with it's help I got multiple offers and final round interviews. Oh and it has a "roast my resume" feature which is a bit of fun.

I don't always post on here. But when I do, it's to share my redesigned site and my year in review blog. jlmx.dev/blog/2025-ye...

When I started searching for a new job, I quickly grew tired of updating applications in random spreadsheets. I leveraged AI to created tools for custom tailoring resumes for specific rolls and assess how good of a fit I would be for a roll. Behold, apptrack.ing was born!

"You're right!" Every message I get back from AI seems to start with that. It feels good to be told I'm right, but also disappointing because I keep having to correct obvious errors.

I just created something. Cannot wait to launch 👀

Sometimes missing out on that thing you really wanted ends up meaning you dodged a bullet.

Waiting 7 minutes for my @anthropic.com Claude usage limit to reset... Reminds me of waiting for nights and weekends back in the day so as to not waste my cell phone minutes.

I've been racking my brains trying to get vitest to work with runes using Svelte5 / Sveltekit. I feel like there's so many variables at play. Is it because i'm on Svelte 5? Is it because I'm using Bun? Is it a Sveltekit thing? Has anyone else ran into this?

At the drive through and I had to ReVerse to ReView what I saw and ReAct to it.

I think about how to implement this every time I come across one, but have never taken the time to look into how it’s done or to try it out on my own.

How many times did you microwave the same cup of coffee today before drinking it? I’ll start: 3

Gotta rep for my wife Penny. I wouldn't care too much about this competition but she's amazing and so is her little guy, Ren. Today is DOUBLE VOTE day! Give him a free vote, it takes like 5 seconds! It's also a fundraiser for paws.org. If you want to donate to a good cause you get even more votes.

Having an internet outage really makes me wish more apps/devices/etc were local first.

Our cat, Ren, is in the running to be “America’s Favorite Pet” Give him a free vote if you can, plus there’s the opportunity to donate to paws.org! americasfavpet.com/2025/ren-83fc

@svelte.dev actually pulling out the rick roll in their tutorial 😂

I’d like to admit that the whole DeepSeek thing is probably my fault. I finally bought $NVDA stock last week so this was bound to happen.

Hard to believe this is a thing that has to be explained, but Scott did a great job. But it does me you wonder about all the META-data in every website I visit and file on my computer... they must own everything!! 🙃

If you see an EM on social media share an opening and say "come work on my team" and its a place you'd love to work what do you do? Comment even though your current employer might see? DM or send connection request? Just apply and hope for the best? Something else?

The green glow on the screen when you've finished what you were focused on is so satisfying. Instantly added to my daily flow.

If an app has light, dark and "use system settings" mode. Why wouldn't using system settings be the default?

To me, "let's have a team social hour" is not the answer for "I don't feel connected to my team".

I'm pretty sure there's a rule that says if you merge a PR you get to take the rest of the day off. That's a thing, right?

These always blow my mind

I miss writing Typescript every day. It's been weeks of Java and Python lately. It's good to expand my horizons, but man I really miss it.

💀 My daughter got me with the sickest burn this morning. Walking her to her classroom she showed me her art hanging on the wall. Me: "I love it! Is that you and mommy and me?" Her: "Yes, but I messed up. I accidentally thought you had hair"

It's easy for a lot of us to forget how important accessibility is until you have to navigate a website using only a keyboard. Tried to create an account on asus.com today and it was literally impossible. Had to switch to another device to do it.

It's that time of year again... Sigh....
