My son @jeromepaulos.com and I make a web tool that helps you find clean energy incentives and determines your eligibility, based on location and income. It's in use by 8 California CCAs and one REN. Here's how Ava Energy uses it to help customers participate in #DriveElectricMonth.

Ava Community Energy@avaenergy.org

Looking for EV savings this #DriveElectricMonth? Ava’s Incentive Finder can help you discover rebates, tax credits, and discounts from government and Ava programs. Visit incentives.AvaEnergy.org to see what offers are waiting for you!

The website is automatically deployed to the CS department's servers with SSH/rsync

Query assignments with SQL on the website I made for the databases class I'm TAing next semester. Everything happens in the browser with Wasm SQLite.

I set up a Discord webhook to ping me anytime an admissions officer looked at it. Carleton College tried guessing the URLs for Berkely (sic), UCLA, Macalester, Grinnell, Harvard, Yale, MIT, St. Olaf, Princeton, Pomona, and Haverford...

When I was applying to college, I made this crazy portfolio website

*My* daily photo website is powered by the Notion API. And with my newly redesigned website, build times for all 600 photos are down to under a minute!

For 19 months now, I’ve been posting a daily photo to my website:

Sometimes iOS has a random corner where the design goes so unbelievably hard

How many engineers does it take to ship a “plain HTML page?” Meta is clearly trying to copy the original ssi.inc website...but theirs weighs 847kB and comes with a cookie popup and some nasty layout shift.

Google cleverly shows an “accessibility feedback” link when navigating with a keyboard. This technique is normally used to add a “skip link” to the main content that’s only visible to screen readers.

Another assignment for this class was to make our own writing system to encode English. I built this editor for mine, which let me draw each character on a 9×9 grid.

I built this minimap for exploring an undeciphered Mesoamerican carving. It was part of a project for “Lost Languages,” an anthropology class I took at @brown.edu last semester.
