This has been both immensely stressful and one of the most touching and validating things I've done. Thanks to all the backers and the barkers 🙏

Cirque@cirquegame.bsky.social

We came so so close to that final stretch goal. You know what? Close enough for me -- I'll upgrade the action tiles. Thank you immensely to everyone who supported the project, and I can't wait for you to bring it to the tabletop. 🎪🎪🎪 -Jeremy

i'm gonna torture the computer

If the golem becomes ensorcelled, the coven may need to assume operational burdens related to ensorcellation and the golem’s fel status. This may cost extra mana points.

Completely unserious man. Like debating stones vs zeppelin. No mention of the late summer Gold Rush, the mighty fall Mutsu, or the meal-lovers delight, the Wine Sap. Not to mention the delicate but oddly powerful Ambrosia. Get it together.

Abdul El-Sayed@abdulelsayed.bsky.social

Fall is here. So we can finally talk about this serious topic... Jonagold vs. Honeycrisp apples.

I don't think children should be shoved into lockers, but personally I have nothing against shoving adults into them, and swirlies, etc.

“Palantir cofounder and CEO Alex Karp states ‘AI will undermine the influence of highly educated, often female voters and give it to working class men. We have feminine energy running our cities and our courts,’ he complained.”

Fabrics. Whenever I see really old clothing, I would not put that shit on. Fabrics are so good now.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

It's hard to demonstrate in realtime that the creative labor of people and their brains is more valuable than AI's because of the focus on productivity, but I look forward to every team pushing for this playcalling model to get systemically dominated by people with functioning brains.

A driver parked his van too close to an Oklahoma City hospital. Now he's facing terrorism charges.

This guy was caught on video committing one of the worst road rage incidents I've ever seen, plowing into a group of riders—and then he left the scene. Seriously, fuck the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for framing him as some sort of a victim. You are complicit assholes. www.ajc.com/news/2026/10...

Sometimes I wish my mother wasn't as lonely as she is, but there are certainly some benefits of having a parent who quickly deleted all dating apps because men were asking her overly personal questions like "what do you like to do" and "would you like to grab a coffee sometime"

This is so offensive, because the last time I was in Paris you could get a hot-dog-injected baguette at the Eiffel Tower. The hot dog deserves to be here.

HL@haitchel.bsky.social

If you are blaming voters for not being sufficiently tactical rather than voting for the person who they want then you have displaced the most basic principle of representative democracy

This is downstream of the fact that suburbs only exist by virtue of their subsidization by urban centers. People have no clue how much they really should be paying to live in pleasantville.

Politico@politico.com

“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

I know someone who works at anthropic and I'm convinced that most of them really do have this specific psychosis. I don't think you can marinate in it all day and then go be normal about it.

This is a researcher at Anthropic. Some of these people have lost their minds! What is mainlining Claude all day doing to them?

beyond not understanding that you retain a benefit — growing equity — that justifies continued taxation, what is happening is that these people don’t understand that their mortgage payment included a property tax payment that went into escrow. that, and simple selfishness, is what’s happening here.

Axiomatic to their worldview. This is the same philosophy that determines it's worse to accuse someone publicly of assault than to do assault.

Ron Johnson blames US for Putin invading Ukraine: "The way we treated Russia after we won the Cold War, how we pushed them. I'm not defending Putin, but we said we were not gonna move NATO one inch to the east. We brought it right to their doorstep basically. What did we think Putin was gonna do?"

Part of what this has revealed is also that a not insubstantial portion of the Democratic legislating class of model UN valedictorians are simply not equipped with the meanness that the moment calls for. These are bad people who need to be crushed. They are not co-participants in a shared activity.

A.R. Moxon@juliusgoat.bsky.social

Hard not to notice that Democrats who are doing the best are the ones who are leaving this whole civility-and-norms, we-go-high, we-need-a-strong-Republican-Party bullshit behind and are simply giving Republicans exactly what they all ought to get at all times, which is undisguised contempt.

What's funny is that he's completely right about fantasy football, it's just that its sociality is not fun when you're a miserable wretch. On its own it's a huge waste of time that can only ever make you mad at your father in law on Sundays

Denny Carter@dennycarter.bsky.social

the tech bro who uses AI to play fantasy football for him is being dragged online. no one has ever been quite so mad frankly.

People won't voluntarily give up their Kid-Crusher 5000s unless we make driving them considerably more costly and inconvenient, which is precisely what we should do.

While it sucks that we're ruled by a guy spiraling into both AI dementia and regular dementia, it rules that there's a new way of making fun of people for being enamored by the computer that tells them nice things

NEW: Amazon will refund thousands of Prime members in Wards 7 and 8 for secretly excluding them from full delivery services. The exclusions have now been lifted, and Amazon will also be required to change its practices. No corporation is too big to be held accountable for deceiving DC residents.

We've had the ability to watch, say, Counterstrike marathons, Street Fighter tournaments, or chess matches between computers since the 90s. Spectacles which, by their very definition, would be at a "higher standard" than human play. And nobody wants it. It's entirely meaningless. It has no appeal.

“transplant” discourse is great because you get to see how easily people can swaddle their insular, reactionary beliefs with left-coded language

Gremliny Nussboo@emilynussbaum.bsky.social

I truly don’t understand this “transplant” nonsense. The whole THING about NYC is that ppl come here from other places to mutate into New Yorkers! TO SEE IF THEY CAN BE KING OF THE HILL, TOP OF THE HEAP! Imho a rando who moved here a year ago is the MOST NY person. Welcome Ohio rando, have a bagel

I've never seen this panorama at Dulles before. It's a carnival that's been constructed right outside Union Station in DC, 1917. If I didn't have a flight to catch I could stand here and look at the details for an hour.

Ok I've seen enough. The ai guys are in a millenarian apocalyptic cult. They convinced themselves they were too smart for religion and then looped right around into creating a machine god. No more to it than that.

I've been playtesting my new board game's solo mode a lot lately, and the bot keeps beating me. I have no choice but to conclude that this game mode will hasten the downfall of civilization, unfortunately.

This is a guy who not only eats a pound of candy a day, but orders the candy daily rather than just having a lot of it in his house. Really an all time dumb guy the more you know about him.

Looks like Aaron Rodgers has redpilled DK Metcalf. This makes me a little sad.

I don't think this is the argument. CEOs demanding the children's book equivalent of a written report is upstream of this being "the work," so I don't actually care what replaces it. There are so many more pertinent objections to the tech.
