Pardon me I was born to speak all mirth & no matter. I'm into comics, period dramas, TV, and baseball. Enspousened to @mostlymartha. Queer. Them/they/he
Those "stupid Arabs" what with their numbering system....
Four lines and then another line through them is all I need!
And what is this al-ge-bra you speak of?
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

I had a call with my dad earlier and he is so happy and surprised that I love baseball as much as I do.
I adored baseball from about 1986 to 1994. Then there was the strike.
I did not care about baseball again until 2000 when I moved to Boston. And to be fair, it was really 01 when I got back in
I love baseball and am excited to debate and admire all the awards that are given out
But the only award that I REALLY care about is the Roberto Clemente award. Try and do the most good you can for the world.
My second-hand impression of the Anthropic IPO filing is that basically says "we lose a country GDP's worth of money, we rely heavily on other tech companies to even exist, our tech may destroy the world in [86 pages of possibilities], we are worth 100 trillion dollars"
I just got to deal with a very pleasant customer service person and it was just a delightful interaction. Then at the end before I headed out, I said, "thank you for being 10 lbs of sunshine in a 1 lb bag"
I don't know what made me say it but she really enjoyed it
Every time I see @gailsimone.bsky.social expertly playing social media like a fiddle and multitudes fall into her exquisitely crafted artisanal troll traps...
Happy 55th Birthday to the Great Pedro Martinez who pitched for the Red Sox from 1998-2004, going 117-37 with a 2.52 ERA, 190 ERA+ and a 53.8 WAR. With the Sox he won 2 Cy Young’s, finished 2nd twice, 3rd once and 4th once.
Sometimes leople use the term "small ball" in a dismissive way, but I think it's the inverse. I think it's a pressure cooker, a grind that never lets up on the opposing team
