The reason to root for the Brewers is that it will annoy Manfred to have a Milwaukee - Tampa/Cleveland series right before the off-season fight saying MLB needs a salary cap.

The problem isn’t that they’re moving past it—it’s that they’re trying to rehabilitate it. Would be better for everyone if people who don’t want to engage with the facts just talked about the play on the field and left it at that.

Pete is lost in terms of modern war. I use the example of this outgunned Ukrainian army officer who successfully terrorized a Russian unit for weeks because she "did the math." At the time, someone commented, "yeah, in combat, 'I did the math' beats 'I can do 100 pushups' every time."

This would come across a lot better if he hadn’t just lost a war.

Hegseth: "It's worth saying again so the fake news understands it. We are no longer the woke department or the weak department. Simple translation of that -- no fatties no trannies no beardos no weirdos no wimps no radicals. Just warriors."

I've complained about taking my shoes off. I've joked about the machine that spies on my junk. I've been annoyed at having to throw out a good tube of toothpaste. Who has ever complained that the person looking at their documents is too comfortable?

People are always like “but they do charity too”. Ok so do groups that don’t make you sit on a working dryer so they can circle the parts of your body that jiggle

Not only did I meet Robert Kraft, I worked for him. His kid Jonathan asked me to “remove the black music” from my gameday playlist in ‘94 & I refused so they fired me. I was the cheerleader director at the time. I sued them for wrongful termination and won. So yes, I know that motherfucker.

Did you ever meet Bob Kraft?

the reason my likely presidential candidate tier list has two people at the top - Ossoff and AOC - is that they are by far the most effective messengers of I Am Fucking Furious And There Must Be Consequences, which is the most deeply held conviction of the Dem base

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Ossoff: "We are witnessing people drunk with power who are utterly reckless, utterly corrupt, and obviously believe that they live with impunity. They believe they're untouchable. They believe they're invincible. Let's prove them wrong."

Second, MAHA isn’t all that concerned with treatment of disease anyway. Its core claim is that nearly all diseases can be prevented through virtuous lifestyles. If we were all drinking raw milk and taking zinc supplements, we wouldn’t be coming down with heart disease and depression and COVID.

my take on the 49ers Substation Conspiracy Theory is I think there's a pretty clear reason the 49ers actually keep having injury issues and the team's coaches, execs and players regularly talk about it glowingly

sports.coolToday in Sports! The real reason the 49ers are injuredThere's actually a simple explanation for the 49ers' injuries (it's not the substation.) PLUS, the NL is finally having revenge on the AL, Olivia Miles is the most enjoyable athlete to watch in the wo...

Sen. Ossoff mentions Natalie Harp, it got some social media buzz, then professional media jumped on it. Two theories of politics that are wrong: 1) Do economic policy, act above the fray, media will do the rest on its own 2) Public opinion is static, politicians’ job is to measure then follow it

Oliver Willis@owillis.bsky.social

TMZ is now covering Natalie Harp, reaching normies who don’t care about politics. Why? Because Jon Ossoff just opened his mouth. www.tmz.com/2026/08/18/n...

They say AI is going to take our jobs. FedEx fired 22,000 people to switch to AI. Yet, they still says my package will arrive today even though it hasn't crossed into my state. I feel safer for my job every day.

I get so annoyed when businesses want to text over talking on the phone. I hate taking on the phone but I'll take a 2-minute phone call over a long string of back and forth texting any day.

EXCLUSIVE: Eli Lilly gave compassionate use access to retatrutide, their unapproved powerful obesity drug, to a 79-year-old man in April. The application was arranged by a top doctor at NIH, and cleared by the FDA. www.statnews.com/2026/06/23/e...

So my damn GLP1 prescription now has a requirement of using an app and a connected scale. As if a prescription, prior authorization, and quarterly blood tests were not enough. Health care in the US sucks.
