en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetrad_... but for LLMs. Would be interested to see others do this as an exercise, tag me if you do!
I love @theverge.com 's Version History so much! It's totally up my alley, as a tech history enthusiast, but still want to shout out about it. Delightful, informative, great show. Two nitpicky notes below ( sorry! haha )

@geoffreylitt.com's Understanding Is the New Bottleneck continues to rattle around my head. Wrote up how I'm using LLM-generated quizzes, they've been surprisingly sticky + I like them more than I thought I would.
also shout out to @atmosynth.at, which inspired quiz-assisted vibing recently

@genmon.fyi's RSS for Vibe Coded apps is a good idea! @simonwillison.net's tools.simonwillison.net is another good example of how to share LLM use. Wrote some thoughts on how to share slop jakesimonds.leaflet.pub/3mteiqwda522w
Trying something new! Blog post I wrote: jakesimonds.leaflet.pub/3mtbtrqas322i And then accompanying Slog widget: streetlight.jakesimonds.com/slog/ba-pa-c... Wrote up experience of using html quiz + then building a widget all while trying to get my head around some tricky reading material
My ba/pa boundary lands at 17.5 ms of voice-onset time — a smooth knob, and my ear hears two words. https://streetlight.jakesimonds.com/slog/ba-pa-continuum/

People who understand Mcluhan's hot/cold media distinction: - are LLMs hot or cold? - are LLMs media? Or is it just the things they produce media? I read a newspaper under a lamp, the newspaper is media and the electric light is media. But an LLM makes me some text, the text is media. The LLM?
If Mcluhan hadn't died many years ago I think he'd know what to do with LLMs.

Presenting...the slog! Inspired by this idea of RSS for vibe coding (interconnected.org/home/2026/04...). Each entry: - self-contained html you can interact with - downloadable zip with AGENTS.md so you can remix/explore (reach out if you do!) streetlight.jakesimonds.com/slog/glass-c...

To remix: - download the zip - open an agent in the directory or even drop the whole thing in a chatgpt.com session - have fun :)
The story of the chart is the people who made the user-less apps and what they learned, not the absent users
Just drew a match to a chess engine with one rule lolol streetlight.jakesimonds.com/glass-chess/... youtu.be/TeAiyu5_XDk

Google AI own goals: 1: They don't own gemini.com !?!?! 2: "do any world cup games have high stakes today" did NOT trigger the AI overview.
I've stopped using google maps. I'd use it again in a totally unfamiliar city, but I always used to use it going to any new place. I jokingly call it "fighting the last war" but I really notice how I have to pay a different kind of attention actually watching for the road signs
If you ever feel conflicted about how AI is affecting your cognition, here's an interesting experiment: Learn to use an abacus. I'm dead serious. I do think we lost something when we stopped doing arithmetic with our bodies. But in other ways we gained a lot. Technology is tradeoffs!
@sill.social is so excellent. It's a clean, uncluttered view derived from my social graph. I love it!
