Ignore the online losers. Lift each other up in your communities 😊💖

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

Go see Wildwood. Seriously, don’t wait—go see Wildwood. What a piece of art. The love for the manual craft, for story that doesn’t hold back, for filmmaking that is not here to answer to stockholders, it weaves all through it. Incredible stuff.

Wildwood is an instant furry classic if only because it has the balls to cast Tom Waits as a hot coyote Also, the animation is just outstanding, I really hope it gets Best Animated Feature this year, not sure anything else comes close

Cozy - Just Alex and Gabe in werewolf form having a cozy Autumn evening in a secluded cabin in the woods

The owners of the home we're renting are selling the property; we'll have to move out by the end of the year. Super-bummed, obviously. Still recovering financially from the LAST move two years ago, and nothing's gotten less expensive since. -.- And I liked this place, for all its flaws. :/

Whoa, it's finally happened To be real for a moment I'm really glad BlueSky has turned into such a neat post-Twitter home. It honestly has a lot going for it. The platform allows you to fine-tune your experience in cool ways, but the PEOPLE are sooo awesome and won't put up with NO SHIT, it's lit

If you told me I’d be redownloading Mapquest in 2026 to try to stay ahead of the surveillance state I wouldn’t have believed you

Masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villagers on Friday, setting olive groves on fire and slinging rocks. Caught in the attack was Post photographer Heidi Levine. “They just kept kicking me and kicking me, like probably 50 times,” Levine said. https://wapo.st/4yt6dHY

This was a wonderful, gorgeous game; I'm glad the developer is still here and not swallowed by, you know, the terrors

Find myself yearning for a spiritual practice more and more these days. Building for myself, it feels right to combine Buddhism, Zen, and Kitchen Wicca/Druidism of some sort. Rooting practice in the rhythms of the year as expressed through local nature just sings to me

Nothing could’ve prepared me for the ad read of the century from the Brewers radio broadcast after that Christian Yelich go-ahead single:

Humans are social animals. Harming another human being is innately traumatic to humans. This has been studied in soldiers, and in executioners. 'Merciful' execution methods obscure the connection between the executioner and the victim's death. Which is why firing squads aren't widely used. (🧵)
