If you’re trying to figure out how to get a better share of Saravanamuttoo’s 34,000 votes while leaving 550,000 votes (including 146,000 new votes) on the table, you’re bound to lose again.

In 25 races (24 ward councillors + mayor) this is the single incumbent that was running and lost.

The transmission of unofficial election results will begin after the polls close at 8 pm and will be posted on ottawa.ca/vote as they become available. Unofficial results will be updated frequently until all results have been tabulated. #ItStartsHere #OttVote

Happy Election Day across Ontario! 🗳️ Get yourself out to the polls. In Ottawa we’ll be lucky to hit 40% turnout, and in this 4-way race the mayor could be crowned with 30% vote share (aka 12%). It’s going to be close.

What is going on with cars hitting people in Ottawa?! Yesterday, a man in a motorized wheelchair sustained serious injuries after being hit by a driver. This comes on the heels of 4 FATALITIES in just 6 days involving vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists). 1/7

Hopefully we have a new mayor before Halloween #OneTermMarky

Been waiting for the point where they spend less compute training the next generation and focus on inference. It will be a very profitable move for both OpenAi and Anthropic for the next year or two. But cost them long term.

Artisan SakeMaker on Granville Island didn’t even ship its product out of Vancouver, last time I checked. That leaves YK3 in Richmond, B.C. and Ontario Spring Water Sake in Toronto’s Distillery District. I may be wrong, but I think all three have trouble meeting local demand.

I’d bet it’s almost entirely due to that new “Tragically Chip” ice cream flavour from Kawartha Dairy. One scoop of that magic will make anyone happier.
