Istvan Peter B’Racz

Hello World. I’m here now. :-) Here’s Ziggy:

Ziggy eats with us at every meal. He has learned how to “put in an order” for more crunchies, 😆🥰 and I never ever get tired of his cuteness and persistence.❤️

among the many thousands of cool sunset pics from last night in Hamden CT- it was quite a show before the Nor'easter hit! #noreaster #sunset #sunsetphotos #newengland #connecticut

Friday 3:13AM The piano was a bit out, and I forgot the vocal mic on, and forgot to turn off compression- so its a bit more "pokey" than it really should be, but I enjoyed this moment. So I'm sharing it here with you folks. #piano #improvisation #musicsky #grandpiano youtu.be/WHKOvNsqgTE?...

Ok, first few days of teaching: ✅ I realized I miss it a bit, and was glad to see my old and new students. Pianos still need to be tuned. STAT! They painted the room over the August break, and thankfully they did not paint over my growth chart wall! ❤️

The academic year is off to a good start. Still a bit shell-shocked how time is flying faster and faster. Getting ready for a live performance soundtrack to the 1922 Nosferatu in New Haven, CT on Oct 30th (2 shows) with my Sub-Verse compatriots. It will be intense. I promise you. #nosferatu

Changed my profile pic…but I think it’s too vanilla, bland…

WTAF APPLE?! What is the point of LIMITING how many phone numbers and email addresses one can block? Seriously. Does that take up SO MUCH room, that you need to limit it? I genuinely want to know WHAT is the reason for the limitation amounts. #apple #applecomputer #email #blocking #stupidity

Last night’s Radio Nothing show on WPKN was really an interesting turn with the tracks selected. More mellow and introspective overall. Beautiful stuff was played. Here it is in the WPKN archives for 2 weeks: archives.wpkn.org/bookmarks/li... #radio #fmradio #liveradio #archives #wpkn #musicsky

Verrry slowly re-introducing wheat flour into my life (after 25 years) crumb by crumb, then one small bite every few days, etc. I will never eat “normal USA wheat” again, but I’m using Jovial’s Einkorn wheat flower which has been shown to be much better tolerated by those with sensitivities!

This afternoon, members of the Adult Advanced Piano Performance Class gave a wonderful end-of-semester recital. Bravissimo!! I had to step in for someone who couldn’t be there, and played some Philip Glass Etudes. #AAPPC #piano #recital #concert #classicalmusic #musicsky

One of the schools I teach at recently had its enrollment go from 9,000 to 6,000 quite suddenly due to the current USA-admin's racist/hatred/bullying of anyone from another country that is blessed with more pigment than your standard vanilla-ice-cracker. So I understand WHY schools are struggling.

😢

What is a movie that's in your top 25 that is unlikely to be in anyone else's? 🎥🖤 “The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes” (by the Brothers Quay) Check out the trailer: mubi.com/en/films/the...

My piano technician came by and brought piano moving wheels that he attached to the legs, thank goodness (my back still hurts from moving a 1000 lb instrument). Plus, he looked at some noise issues with the key bed, and will probably be taking the action with him for a few weeks in August. #piano
