Attention mail-in voters: TODAY (Tuesday, Oct. 27) is the U.S. Postal Service's recommended deadline for mailing back ballots in states where they must be received by Election Day. You can also consider returning your ballot at your local election office or any available drop box instead.

I'm genuinely shocked at how utterly racist RFK Jr is. I guess it shouldn't be surprising though.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

So this is apparently a reference to an AI viral video about losing college football coaches that singing outstanding.... and like, you really have to be deep in the weeds to begin to understand this outside of putting sombreros on Jefferies and Schumer. White House too online.

How racist and desperate do you have to be to look at this and say, “Got ‘em!”?

when people say the two parties are the same, one thing they aren’t just different but extremely meaningfully different on is Dems rank and file and the elite level very quickly shouted down or ignored the BlueAnon weirdos saying 2024 was stolen; the Republicans and Trump just put theirs in power

(1/27) Let’s talk about this COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER, Bill Maher. He’s got a Low Rated Show on equally Low Rated HBO, which was once, long ago, a Network of Quality and Excitement — But that’s all gone. It’s not “HOT” anymore! Maher’s friend and business associate,

I like this quote because it’s clear someone has told Trump to stop talking about men’s asses, and his takeaway was to not say the word ass explicitly.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump on Husted: "He went up 14 points or something. That was when I said the A-word. I looked at his body."

I've been wanting to comment on this, but every time I think about what I want to say I start getting so mad, so very mad, at the corruption of it all. This is a criminal administration.

The answer to this is frozen meals. I wanted to only say tv dinners at first, but really every single category of frozen meal has improved.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

My assumption, which is just speculation, is that they're hoping to trigger some sort of crackdown on dissidents which the Trump regime can use an excuse post election to start kinetic action.

Its not just about attacking Cuba remember, it's about reshaping it. To dictate its future. They cant do that if they attack in 2029 and everyone knows another admin is coming in soon.

They've been wanting to act in Cuba for a long time now, but have been holding off because Iran dragged on. Now maybe you'd think they can't be this stupid, but if not now then when? This would be their last chance before a Dem President likely takes over in 2029.

So…. Is this there attempt at an October Surprise? I know I shouldn’t make light of it, that what Omar is going through is a disgusting misuse of power, but really is their best shot at using the power of the state to crush dissent? Weren’t they going to indict actblue donors at one point?

“Therefore, because she used a fake name to be sworn in, I assume she must IMMEDIATELY resign from Congress. Please inform the Speaker of the House of Representatives, James Michael Johnson, that the Dumocrat Party has just conceded her seat.”

I'm somewhat pessimistic about the election, but only because expectations are so high. Some of the polls just seem too good, and yet I want them to be better. Still much rather be in a place where you're worried about the polls being off than one in which you're hoping that their all off.

So Dr Cofnas describes this dilemma for racists: the need to do more to distinguish themselves from thugs + crackpots + obsessive antisemites + racists, who bring stupid, racist support but reputational damage to the whole intellectual project of biological racism.

“No, I think we're not negotiating with. We are going to have something one way or the other that'll happen fairly soon. Most people seem to think it's after the election, and we're going to see what happens. But I will say this: what we've done with Iran is amazing. (8/9)

The article notes that the guy won't vote for Byron Donalds because he "has been dismissive of younger voters." It does not note he is a Fishback supporter. And if you know anything about Fishback, its reasonable to infer his opposition to Donalds might be for other reasons (you know the ones).

Gamer chuds went apeshit about “wokeness” and women in games while kissing the asses of the rich guys and big corporations who would end up running the best firms into the ground. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

That does explain a few things. I thought it was weird it happened once today on one website I visited, and then I saw someone else complaining about another website.

Okay the hardest part was getting the resolution to work right, and the mouse sensitivity. Then the frustration with pixel hunting, and how with games this old you will just randomly not know what to do because the game will sometimes expect you to just go to a specific place seemingly at random.

The thing is that when some rando leftist says this on X or BlueSky you can chalk that up to ideological furor or political naivety, Carville should know better, this is thousands of times worse.

New: Mahmoud Khalil is asking the Supreme Court to review his case. He's challenging a court ruling that essentially deprived immigrants like him of the right to habeas corpus, forcing them to possibly remain in detention for years — even if the point of their detention was to punish their speech.

Well I voted, was in line for about an hour, and about 10 minutes in I remembered the trick was to go in on the third day of early voting, and you know, to avoid doing it close to lunch hour. Well at least now I don't have to worry about getting the flu or something and not being about to vote.
