🔘 Content folks love lists. 💜 Here’s one for the #ContentDesign crowd at #Button2025. You’re probably following a few of these people already, but if you need more content content in your feed, follow along to your heart’s content. Adding to the list as we go… go.bsky.app/G9JpDXA

In #ContentDesign, context is everything. Knowing where UI copy will appear and how it will be treated there is an essential #UXWriting skill. The same emphasized string renders fine in the heading, but not on button labels. Consistency is good, but some cases require contextual variants.

I’ve seen this up close. Leadership vacuums can hamstring even the most capable design teams. Look for leaders that know what you do, and how to create the conditions for design diligence and content craft to flourish.

Having a talented, experienced, well-resourced design team with access to all the right tooling is wasted if it’s not perceived or positioned appropriately within an organisation. www.linkedin.com/pulse/percep...

The opportunity to work with people who care is precious, and learning from one another is what allows us to deliver work we believe in. New projects are calling, but good connections will endure. This is not goodbye.

I’ve been incredibly lucky in my career to have worked with amazing people who have helped me grow as a professional. @infotexture.net has been one of them. Grateful for every minute. So long, my friend! You’ll be dearly missed 🫶

@elijahpotter.dev Just learned that Harper supports custom rules via Weir, is that new? Don’t recall seeing that last time I looked at Harper. So far, I’ve been building those with vale.sh, but having them in Harper seems much more convenient. writewithharper.com/docs/weir

Those are things @sarah11918.rainsberger.ca might want to hear. She might even have tips…

Things I wish were a bit easier in @astro.build Starlight: 1. Max-width, layout centering, and flexibility. I had to borrow the Obsidian theme hack, but it's not ideal. 2. Using my own custom icon package. 3. Adding icons to the sidebar elements. I ended up using CSS for this. As for the rest: 💖

I’ve been working on something quietly for a while. Today it steps into the open. It’s called Faro, a space where I’m sharing ideas that shaped my work across brand, design, content, engineering, and systems thinking.

💡Next starter pack idea for #ContentStrategy folks: Everyone who attended #csforum in Paris back in 2010 when the Icelandic volcano broke out and we all got stuck. Many here already. Who has the list? Maybe @firehead.bsky.social ?

I'm working on a starter pack of #Confab regulars. If you attended Confab, Button, or are otherwise a friend of content design or content strategy, and you're not on this list (and want to be), reply to this skeet! /cc @halvorson.bsky.social go.bsky.app/Lk9emam

🤩 I love my clients. Last month I ran a #ContentOperations workshop where we focused on #UXwriting and #ContentDesign processes. They made an album cover and put up a disco ball in the office. 🪩 If you’re still copying and pasting strings, get in touch. Happy to teach your team a few new moves. 🕺

You are up to date.
