I made some lemon bars to give out at a friend’s party, and people kept saying, “oh thanks, I am bisexual” or “is it ok to eat these if I’m not bisexual?” What…is happening I just really like lemon bars ok?!?

Last night's pixel art for the title screen of our new game for Tomodachi 8in1... I took a lot of inspiration from Ragnarok Online 👀 Tomodachi 8in1 is a series of experimental #Pico8 games focused on 2000's retro vibes, mixtapes, and chatting with friends: buff.ly/8S1LDux

so rather than despair, embrace the fact that you exist for one brief moment between birth and death, and decide for yourself what brings you joy and meaning. And also the actual problem is capitalism.

Feeling a little FOMO about missing #pixelartpark but then I remind myself instead of computers I am running away into the woods. It’s alright, I’ll be back (probably)

It's me! I'm going to be presenting at #NerdNite this October about glass :D

Sad news today. Hall, Jello’s best rabbit friend who she’s hung out with for the past six years, has passed peacefully away. She was ten and lived in our pet sitter’s loving home - never met an animal she didn’t like. Love you Hall. So glad I could be with you during your time here. 💚

An acquaintance of mine was telling me about a Japanese bookstore in the US whose staff either cannot read Japanese or is especially lawless. You can find hardcore yaoi next to the “Excel for Beginners” and TBH that’s the world I want to live in.

IMHO there is no better age verification than being a person who, on their own free time, looks for a book on Excel spreadsheets.

In the next version of the itch app you can... make your itch games show up in Steam 😅. This has been a long outstanding request that should make it easier to play your itch games without having to change apps on Steam Deck or Big Picture mode

I think of interfaces like little records of human drama. For every frustration I have about UX or UI, it often boils down to organizational chaos, team miscommunication or thoughtlessness.

“Why are optional questions marked as required? I just want to book an appointment.” Perhaps design made some wireframes that didn’t have the finalized questions. When new questions were made, it was communicated to the dev and put in as required. Neither talk to each other.

The examples are speculative but the all examples are ones I’ve encountered. I can’t stop looking at interfaces as these tiny records, wondering, “what happened here?”

“Why does the navigation have so many options? I can’t find what I’m looking for.” Perhaps a designer is trying to get five execs from different teams to agree on a navigation, but since each is responsible for a different part of the site they don’t want to merge.
