Okay. It's out. I've been building Modulat nights and weekends for 6 months, and it went live on Product Hunt about an hour ago. Strange feeling, just pushing it and seeing what happens. It fixes one small thing that has annoyed me for years. modulat.co

I'm so fucking ashamed of our government and angry that people voted for pieces of shit like this... I simply don't understand how today, with all the reporting, we still have people that can commit genocide and some still deny it's happening or even promote it wtf 🤬🤬 euobserver.com/233662/slove...

euobserver.comSlovenia’s Janša helps Netanyahu blunt EU response to West Bank land‑grabSlovenia undermined Western reaction to Israel's drastic carve-up of the West Bank, signalling that Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a new EU inside-man.

I have auto app updates turned off so I do that manually for apps that I use/allow. If the update says “Performance improvements” for the 10x time and is still as slow as f* 🙅‍♂️ Today I accidentally updated Viber… and now there’s ChatGPT chat in there that I can’t disable, hide or ban 🤬 F* hell

So now I’m going to basically try to see hoopow muuuuch tokens I can make it use every day untill it either stops responding or they ban me. Let’s see what their threshold is for something that’s “free because you surely need it” 🤷‍♂️

I miss Posts/Read. Left Twitter because it didn’t feel like there was much connection to people, seemed to “wide”. Posts was just that, smaller and tighter and felt like a community, Bsky doesn’t even with different feeds. Still sad they didn’t pass it on, I’m sure some of us would gladly drive it 😢

Riding bikes is 10X more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities. And that’s just the climate emissions. Doesn’t include the massive public & personal cost difference, the air & noise pollution difference, the massive space difference, etc, etc…Via @theconversation.bsky.social

Instagram says it will ban some of the creepiest kinds of content filmed with Meta glasses, like harassment. I wrote about how Meta gets to have it both ways: saying it will police bad behavior while creating the conditions for it to exist in the first place. www.theverge.com/report/97090...

Also, it's been a while since I've done a Product Hunt launch, so no idea how this works anymore. At the time of me posting Hey Meta or Dockey there were far less products launched every day, so you could get to the front page more easily, now it feels like you need to hack something 🤷‍♂️

Well...that was a flop 😅 It seems like if you don't have AI in the name or description you don't get nearly as much exposure on there. Then again, it might be how I wrote things, so I'll try to learn from this for the next time I put something out 🚀

And when you publish an update, the client's Slack channel gets told exactly what changed. Fix a typo and it stays quiet. Small thing but it's satisfying and I don't have to do this manually.

Every time I finished a project I'd send the client six links in an email. A Figma prototype, a Drive folder, a Loom, two attachments buried in a reply-all thread. Then a week later: "which one is the newest?" So I'm scratched my own itch and built the thing I wanted instead.

Each client gets one page. On your own or their domain, or one of Modulat subdomains. Prototypes, files, notes, videos, all in one place. No logins for them, they just open a link and have access to everything. The bit I'm quietly proud of: it's built into Figma, so you never leave the canvas.

I'm glad we've replaced actual humans with AI support because the information they provide is always the one you need and spot on. /s Also @figma.com if anyone is reading this, please contact me...this is getting out of hand.

My app (Dockey) gets featured in blogs and youtube videos from time to time and in response I get a flow of new users and I always have to search the web where the hell they came from 😅 It is a reealy nice validation to be featured though! Gives me motivation to create more fun stuff 😊

Is there really no way to see what's playing next when you start a station from a song on Apple Music? It's crazy to not have some kind of a queue like Spotify does this where I could remove tracks I'm particularly in the mood for...

This is Max. He snuck out in the middle of the night and walked 5 miles to get a breakfast burrito from a store that gave him one once. They hadn't opened yet when he got there, but Max was found the next morning thanks to his GPS collar patiently waiting outside for his well-earned snack. 14/10

Instant buy! I got to hang out with a bunch of the people in the book last year at Naive Yearly and can’t thank Kristoffer enough for organizing the event. We need more of this, not just design for the sake of profits but for the art, poetry, weirdness and plain hanging out with creative people.

Can't wait for some of the stuff coming to Figma (looking at you Grids) but I can't not think how all of this will affect the performance. For example, my Intel based MBP can run Ableton 12 with 30+ plugins without breaking a sweat...but I already can't even design in 30fps (it's less) in Figma...

I still think that my most loved feature from Sketch was dragging the export preview anywhere and it would just give you an png. Kinda hate that I have to export from Figma any time I want to show someone a quick preview of what I’m working on…even though it can show me an preview already?

It seems like Tiny (or whoever had it last) finally let go of the designernews.co domain and of course now it's just a pile of ads... I still kinda miss the community from there, it was fun for a while and then they just lost interest and it was overrun with bots
