This guy (and by that I mean 'venture capitalist' Bryan Johnson) is one of the biggest dork-ass losers in the world, AND one of the most disgusting, which is impressive when the standard of competition is SO high at the moment. Also, hi mum!

Machine that’s programmed to be sycophantic favoured over friends by 1 in 5 arse-holes who expect people to agree with them and tell them they’re right, and unique and a thinker like no one else in history. That so many people don’t know the difference between sycophancy and empathy is a tragedy

🚨 NEW POLLING🚨 AI is now so good at mimicking empathy that many people prefer it to their friends. 1 in 5 UK adults have used an AI chatbot for personal or relationship advice – and 54% of them found it more helpful than talking to friends or family.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Every year since at least 2016 I get this notification. Still no idea what possessed me to create the original calendar entry, but I admire my devices' tenacity in telling me every time. I'll never delete it. 🍔👑🧇📅

One of the cats that played Jonesy in the Alien franchise was the childhood pet of UK comedian/actor Sooz Kempner!

We all know the "Viggo broke his toe" story but what's another movie fact you're personally compelled to bring up every time without prompting? For me, it's the fact that Robin Tunney is wearing a wig in The Craft because of having just shaved her head to save her job filming Empire Records.

I wonder if anyone has attempted a Big Walk cosplay? A series of differently sized balls for the body and head, sure... but making the snout thing move properly when speaking would be a real challenge

Always somewhat shocking when someone has the courage to do this. It shouldn't be, but it is. Massive respect.

I did get to keep it, btw. It now encompasses the work that used to be done by 3 separate people, but I'm sure I'll handle being extremely overworked with my usual aplomb

Get to find out whether I can keep my job or not sometime in the next 24hrs. Gonna be a fun start to the weekend

Turns out that if you are an old lady with a banner supporting Palestine, the government arrests you on charges of terrorism. If you are a masked white male thug bringing a national port to a standstill, the government does absolutely nothing, and the media covers it like some lads on a day out.

Feel genuinely sick that there were racist protestors doing their hateful thing in my city last night. At least we can expect a full-throated and robust condemnation from our elected leaders, right?!

My place of work are forcing a bunch of us technicians to reapply for our jobs with some changes to make them worse, and a few of us are going to be let go whatever happens. I keep trying to work on my application but just looking at the document makes me feel so unbearably sad

I know, I know... first world problems, but this really sucks. I used to love working here despite being paid considerably less than my work was worth. Every decision made by the executive board in the past 4 years or so has made things worse. It's a shame.

Welp, I've submitted my application. It's out of my hands. Gonna try not to think about it for the indeterminate period of time between now and when they let us know. Should be easy. Ha. haha. Hahahahahahaahhahhahahah.

My best case scenario is I remain employed, but my job is harder and less specific to the skills I've been honing for over a decade, AND I have to take a job away from a good friend of mine. It's fucked up.
