A couple more doodles from yesterday: a messy little Eurasian Eagle Owl. I think owls are really cool, but they are so hard to draw.

Half-beasts generally have weak static vision (but excellent movement tracking) beyond 100 yards which makes for suboptimal archers. Rhea happens to be a lucky exception

the wikipedia page of a random guy i was reading had a "Controversies" section, it's the most bizarre shit i read this month

It took me a long time to understand that it's not because you show people that something can be done better in an easy way that they will actually care about doing it. If someone doesn't care about details, it doesn't matter that it's easier now, a tool isn't gonna change their personality.

I wish I'd realized when recording this that it would come out on the 10-year anniversary of my channel, but even if I didn't mention it, I guess it's still pretty fitting 😅 (plus it was posted to my second channel anyway, lol)

Héloïse might have made short work of the mantis but for its mesmeric dance. 'Avaunt, hen, and harm me not!' Cried the fae creature. 'For I am the Sibyl of the Shrub, and it shall go ill for thee!' #Boktober Hen and Mantis. Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, approximately 95 × 64 mm.

The mantis is called the 'rice-pounding grasshopper' in Thailand (ตั๊กแตนตำข้าว), from the motion of its raptorial forelegs resembling the traditional manner of pounding rice to remove the husks. This one was drawn with this very brush.

I forgot how good Amnesiac - Radiohead was. I thought I was going to skip few songs. But wow. "Let's go down the waterfall; Think about the good times and never look back, never look back"
