From the #AfdLeaks AfD functionaries visiting Russia-occupied Crimea in 2017 had to buy their flight tickets (in order not raise suspicion), but everything else was covered/paid for by Russia, or so it appears from this email.

Good piece from @Jacobmardell1 "The deal’s detractors may point out that Beijing simply chose, at a relatively low cost, to co-own a measure it knew was coming. They might also note the agreement barely scratches the surface of a €360bn trade deficit." ip-quarterly.com/en/...

President Zelensky at #WSF2026: President Putin obviously doesn‘t read Truth Social. From the moment Trump announced the energy ceasefire (that was not discussed with Ukraine but would be very welcome) to this morning, Russia continued to target Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

How hard are they laughing at the Kremlin? First Russia helps Iran so that Trump loses his ill-conceived war against Iran, now it sells him diesel which had gotten scarce as a result. US self-destruction on the international stage is without precedent. www.ft.com/content/84ca...

An important reminder that the UK will continue to struggle with the EU‘s supranationality. That’s why it’s so important to think outside the box(es) — the EU, but also NATO — when it comes to the future of European defence and deterrence.
