Today, we had our biggest Fat Bear Week day 1 turnout of all time and experienced some system overload. If you already voted today, your vote still counts. If you didn't get a chance, don't worry: Day 1 voting will restart tomorrow, Wednesday September 23rd.

Here I am on the corner supporting the woman rally in Tehachapi 6=24-26. I am on the corner of the famers market every Thursday and I attend all the rallies I can. I just don't have the resources to travel far. However making a statement here in a small red town is at least something.

Senator Mike Lee has introduced a last-minute amendment to the Wildfire Prevention Act that would eliminate the 2001 Roadless Rule, stripping protections from roughly 60 million acres of national forest land. This is an attempt to sneak a major public lands policy change through before most

I'm waiting at an appt and on the television a Fox News reporter says "the billionaires are starting to fight back". Commence severe eye rolling. The amount of bootlicking that entertainment channel has for the wrong people ...

Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft are all planning huge layoffs. Amazon got $17.5B in federal tax breaks last year. Jeff Bezos is worth $270B. Meta saved $13.7B in taxes. Mark Zuckerberg is worth $210B. Microsoft saved $12.5B last year. Its CEO is worth $1.3B. This is what a rigged economy looks like.

When do you workout and why? Morning, mid day day, afternoon or evening? I aim for mornings but usually go for mid day to break the day up but with my workouts getting longer, evening seems to be the best. I just can't sleep enough to get my ideal early morning workout in. 😭

Three days off from the gym always feels weird. But the next workout is a biggie & I'm still sore from the last one. And I don't feel like going today. #CaseOfTheMondays

Nice reminder that because a study is published in a journal does not mean it’s a good study or that its stated conclusions are reasonable! When people say they are “doing their own research,” even if reading primary literature, missing the context & subtleties can lead to wildly wrong conclusions.

The shit you can get away with in nutrition research is egregious. Even 24 hour food recall diaries are notoriously unreliable, but asking people what they ate in *the past year* is a joke. You can't track a 10% drop in UPF consumption if your input data is off by 80%!

I'm already eating in a slight surplus but I need to eat more. I want the muscles, but it's mentally tough to wrap my mind around the concept of "eat more". At least currently.

Earthjustice is suing Trump's EPA for failing to fully implement the lifesaving national soot standard that is supposed to protect us from dangerous air pollution. Doctors and scientists have made it overwhelmingly clear that soot pollution sickens and kills people.

Amazon will pay $20.5 million to settle allegations that two of its Oregon data centers helped contaminate groundwater. This is exactly why communities across the country are organizing to stop data centers — and winning. Never doubt your power to change the system.

The EPA proposed a rule to gut the regulations that protect communities from the dangers of coal ash – the toxic sludge left after burning coal to produce electricity. “For EPA to turn its back on communities near coal ash dumps is illegal & reckless,” said Earthjustice Senior Counsel Lisa Evans.
