If they lack the moral fortitude to save their country and the literal lives of fellow Americans, maybe they'll act to save their own skin.

Shaming does nothing. Start organizing at the grassroots level to vote out any lawmaker in your constituency who isn't using all their power and influence to stop this lawlessness. Petition. Get the numbers.

There is a lot that is unclear about the abduction of Maduro, but it is very obviously a blatantly illegal act of war under both international law and the US Constitution. The abject failure of news media like @nytimes.com and Congress to say so outright and immediately should terrify us all.

Trump, at today's press conference, pretty made a victory round, Mission Accomplished..... The troops loyal to Maduro are not just going to roll over and obey Trump. Venezuela is over 50% rainforest, the environment that is perfect for guerilla warfare that will lead to massive US casualties.

Dear news media, Why not spend a few minutes today explaining how the process of going to war is supposed to work in a constitutional democracy? Because it ain't this.

But why don’t we ever hear any of the people who truly run the media ask these questions and answer them? It’s almost like we’re just supposed to accept that they’re lazy, corrupt or scared… But we never hear them asked, “Why are you OK with this passivity?”

Months after surviving an assassination attempt, the Hoffman family issued a strong statement condemning the horrific political violence against Charlie Kirk and urging all leaders not to accept this as our reality.

Charlie Kirk was a white supremacist who pushed the racist Great Replacement Theory. Kirk was vociferously anti-LGBTQ. Kirk's final words were to besmirch Black people. Stop this revisionism. People who say bad things don't deserve to be murdered, but they also don't deserve to be praised either.

Anyway. Today I’m remembering that the EMTs and firefighters who rescued people from Ground Zero and suffered horribly for years afterward only got relief when Jon Stewart shamed legislators for a solid decade. May we all be a dog with a bone when it matters. abcnews.go.com/Politics/911...

Which work? Calling for gay people to be stoned to death? Blaming airplane crashes on black pilots? Anti-vax bullshit? Election denialism? Pushing Great Replacement Theory? Kirk’s murder is awful and ominous for this country. But no, we don’t need to honor him or “continue his work.”

MAGA knows Trump is corrupt. They don't care. They're supporting their own hatred of the "elite" and the promise of being avenged. If Trump wants to distract from his Epstein misstep, all he has to do is double down on his promise to punish MAGA "enemies".

A cynical view--they COULD SIMPLY deport actual criminal illegal aliens CONVICTED of violent crimes in the US and due for deportation IMMEDIATELY upon completion of their sentences BUT THEN the US industrial prison complex would lose tens of MILLIONS of dollars in housing fees for their prisoners.

@washingtonpost.com They were not DEPORTED. Deported means sending them back to their country of origin. These people were sent to a maximum security prison in El Salvador, without any due process or any analysis as to whether they feared harm in El Salvador!

Congresswoman Sara Jacobs@sarajacobs.house.gov

In America, EVERYONE has a RIGHT to due process - regardless of immigration status. It’s fundamental to our Constitution. Deporting hundreds of people in secret by invoking a wartime proclamation is a blatant abuse of power by President Trump.

We’re getting to the point where the Supreme Court will have to decide whether it wants to enforce the Constitution against Trump or would rather become just a ceremonial club that wears robes. And the frightening thing is that it could go either way.

The phrase “seen as” in this New York Times headline says so much about the Times’ cowardly journalistic distance from the MAGA assault on our freedoms. NYT reporters and editors *know* Trump is undermining the justice system. Yet they pretend it is just an opinion.

The tariffs are completely predictable. They will be the same as last time (lumber, steel, cars)…and will come with the threat of higher levies, uncertain timelines, and additional products and commodities to keep Canada constantly seeking concessions to offer for resolution.

Accuse, cut, replace. Privatization is coming.

The only thing you’ll persuade the audience on Twitter about is that there are still some libs they can own on Twitter. Leave it behind. You’re just propping it up with your presence and giving it legitimacy.

Operation ICE Ride-Along isn’t going as planned. 🔥 Fox News tagged along with ICE, hoping for an exclusive look at “dangerous criminals.” Instead, they got a whole lot of nothing. No threats, no big arrests—just a community that wasn’t having it. The narrative is falling apart.

The Trump Admin seems to be developing a pattern of unleashing their most authoritarian, lawless shit typically around midnight, with no prior announcement to the public or even to Republicans in Congress. What will we wake up to tomorrow?

Sen. Joni Ernst could've torpedoed Hegseth's nomination for defense secretary. She's a military veteran and survivor of sexual assault. Hegseth was credibly accused of abuse of women, including rape. Joni Ernst's "yes" vote will make women less likely to come forward. She voted for sexual assault.
