Yesterday marked my first full year on Resonite. Resonite is the first game I have over a thousand hours in on steam, I guess you could say I like it there. I've made so many new friends over the year. Thank you everyone for being awesome! #resonite

One of the most disappointing things for me personally with the advent of AI is that it has damaged my ability to be impressed with software. Whether it be open-source projects, games, mods, sites, etc. I can admire the skill involved to develop something, but not if it's a machine doing it.

For open-source stuff, I suppose you can directly review the extent of LLM usage in a project (assuming that it is properly disclosed). For everything else, disclosed or not ... the doubt lingers, at least for me, unless I already know the person behind the project very well.

I guess this puts me in the "programming is art" category of opinions on this topic. Even if there are good developers out there using LLMs to their benefit, the ease at which it allows others to cheese the whole process has a greater negative pull on my view of LLM usage in general, unfortunately.

Before I get flamed for this, I know there *are* competent developers who use LLMs merely as an assistant tool, and can write code all on their own if they had to. But alas, it also enables people with *no* development experience to vibe-code entire applications with no idea what they're building.

I got the sticker note wall with all the art at @goblfc.org reconstructed too with enough detail to read all the notes! :3 #BLFC #StealAllOfReality

I've had extremely rough couple of days. It's felt like everyone is against me, even some people I normally looked for support and stability. Today has been in particular very bad. Then @glitchfur.net took me out for ice cream. He's best boyfriend I could've wished for πŸ’›

My Firefox keeps crashing due to something that is probably my fault, so running it in Safe Mode now which means all my extensions are disabled, including ad-blockers. I am reminded that browsing the "naked" internet is a genuinely awful experience.

Remember when King Neptune AI slopped his hundreds of awful burgers in seconds and SpongeBob painstakingly made one delicious burger by hand

Great chance to post my all-time favorite headline

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

I recently spent some time with @glitchfur.net (and bunch of friends from Resonite) in the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. It's very beautiful there, I made this timelapse during one of the days! #tennessee #smokymountains #timelapse

Up until a few days ago I thought all the NSFW Drag'n Wash art was just your typical R34 at work, but no, that's all actually in the game. Just straight up first-party goon content.

I find it hard to believe that people are buying mattresses so often that dedicated stores are needed for them. So the only other explanation must be quality. But are they like, THAT much superior to mattresses from anywhere else?

Windows 11 *finally* re-added the ability to move the taskbar to other edges of the screen besides the bottom, and also the ability to make the entire taskbar smaller. Now I can have my XP-style taskbar at the top of the screen again because I'm weird.

"but Glitch you use arch btw" I do, so this only applies to the Windows PCs I still have to use: My work VM, and PCs that I share with others. But I'm still glad to see it back.
