Also finally submitted the iPhone Duo update of @getdashlet.app for review. All the screenshots are updated, and also added all the page/search headers.
Hopefully this one also gets reviewed quickly.

Speaking of feedback - I much prefer the kind of support request that ends up leading to a great new feature, like the one in the latest update of @getdashlet.app
A user asked if there was quick link support for configuring a data source or widget.

✨ Dashlet 1.8 is here!
Set up a widget from a link: send someone a data source, or a whole widget, and it opens filled in. Your tokens never travel with it.

🚀 Dashlet 1.7 just shipped!
The widget preview now stays on screen while you edit, and on iPad the editor and your data sources finally use the whole display.

Also adding iPad layout improvements, with benefits of improving the look on iPhone Duo - not hating it, but needs further tweaks.
Will continue to keep slowly iterating - it's good enough for the Duo launch.

Configuring a widget in @getdashlet.app becomes quite annoying, if you can't really see what your changes are doing (and have to scroll back up to the top all the time).
Upcoming version will have this change keeping the widget preview visible at all times.

🛠️ Dashlet 1.6.1 just dropped!
Refresh fixes: the widget refresh button now lands or says why, interrupted refreshes stop counting as failures, and Diagnostics sees widget fetches.

📦 Dashlet 1.6 has landed!
Extra-large widgets, any font on your device for widget themes, left/right image cropping, and no more stale images on the dashboard.

🚀 Dashlet 1.5 just shipped!
Now in six more languages with an in-app picker, plus a cleaner always-on dashboard (auto-hiding controls) and always-fresh, never-cached data.

Finally took the time to write an introduction post for my self-refreshing remote widgets iOS app @getdashlet.app, which I launched over a month ago.
It explains the motivation behind it, what it does, and how it's become very useful to me.

🔗 New post: Dashlet
A delayed introduction of my new iOS app for creating self-refreshing widgets from online data.

📦 Dashlet 1.3 has landed!
Richer chart values (formatting, units, and a running total), list-item counts in labels, POST endpoints, and per-header sensitivity.

After waiting weeks for review and two rejections (one not my fault and one very much my fault) I managed to get @getdashlet.app 1.2 released today.
It contains a whole bunch of fixes and improvements (even some meant for version 1.3) (1/2)
#buildInPublic#dev#swift#swiftUI#iOS
Good news: @getdashlet.app went into review after 5 days
Bad news: first time I see this rejection, and I have no idea how it's possible (did I mess up the gating on some feature? 🤔)
Time to chase this down and submit again 🫠

Launch day for @getdashlet.app has come - it is now available for download, and, at least for now, pre-orders seem like a good way to go - though even with a longer lead time would've been better. (1/3)

I built myself a simple web analytics dashboard to keep a basic track of unique visitors to my website/various app landing pages.
But opening Safari and navigating to it quickly became annoying - I wanted to have the stats glanceable on my home screen. (1/4)

While I'm battling with AppStore reviews and final touches before @getdashlet.app launch next week, I spent some time making docs for it https://docs.getdashlet.app
It shows some of what's possible, and tries to address common questions in advance. (1/2)

In anticipation of the launch next week (15th of July), you can now check out the documentation/guides for the app.
They show different widget types, examples of setups and try to answer some potential FAQs in advance.

And if the docs make the app look intriguing, jump over to this App Store link to pre-order the app, so it will be downloaded as soon as it becomes available.

Close to releasing one of my more ambitious apps - @getdashlet.app
It can take any endpoint and help you turn it into a beautiful widget that can live and update on your home screen, lock screen, or even as a complication on the Apple Watch. (1/2)

Not every API has an app with widgets to go with it, and you shouldn't be required to code an app just to be able to glance at a chart or number on your phone.
With Dashlet, any data can be on your iPhone home or lock screen.
Pre-order on the App Store now!
