galaxies.devZero to Hero - Mission: Launch Your First App Galaxies.dev | React Native Tutorials for Mobile App DevelopmentHi! I'm Simon. 👋 Get courses, projects, hands-on help, and more as you learn to publish iOS & Android apps.

If you have a server with CRON jobs do yourself a favor: Add them to a Sentry monitor ✌️ I don't want to learn about failures from my users.

I’ve tried a lot of React Native tools over the years. Most are fun for a week. A few made it into my daily workflow. I made a video about the ones I actually use to save time when building apps 👇

Testing a game is fun 🙃 You need to cover different platforms, different player levels, different devices... Think I need to figure out how AI can do all of that - any idea where to start the automation?

I don’t think Tiny Harvest needs another feature right now. It needs more people to find it. That’s a much harder problem to solve.

Long run this morning. One nice thing about marathon training: Even if work feels chaotic, you get one clear win for the day.

If you want to lose weight, doing more sports is rarely the answer. It's 95% about what you eat. When I actively train, I am so much more hungry all the time that I have a hard time staying in a deficit at all.

Sport is important when losing weight, but more in a sense that you maintain muscle. If you want to have an easier time, just get to 10-20k steps daily (walking pad!) and eat healthy.

With all the evidence it's just sad to see so many people saying "I need to start running again to lose weight" while actually the opposite of it is true. Don't make it harder for yourself then it has to be!

Running a Product Page Optimization test for the first time ✌️ My games CR isn't great, and instead of randomly trying things, I made a test in ASC: - Original page - Simply a new preview video - New screenshots Traffic split equally between the 3, let's see if there are any meaningful trends!

I have to set up a new Google dev account and transfer my game 🙈 Wish me luck in the migration. Will share how I did it and whether it worked!

Not the most popular keywords, but trying to grow on some new ones like "acres" and ranking better on "stardew valley" ❗️Note: Don't directly use a competitor keyword or you get in trouble

Current priorities: ✅ August season ✅ Bugs & QoL ✅ TikTok ✅ Reddit ✅ X Trying really hard not to hide behind “just one more feature.”

My game finally hit $5,000/month. For a few weeks, I thought: “Nice, this is my new normal.” Then installs dropped again. Why? 👇

The next few months I’ll probably spend just as much (or more) time on marketing as I do writing code. Weird shift, but it feels like the right one.

June 2026 income report for my mobile game Tiny Harvest 🌽 💰 $5,831 revenue 👥 6,145 new players Still blows my mind that this little farming game is becoming a real business.

Definitely seeing a relation between Apple giving Tiny Harvest traffic and in-app purchases. Distribution really is everything.

I built an AI voice notes app with React Native. And AI agents wrote most of the code. Call me a vibe coder, but this is how you build great apps in the age of AI 👇

Next week I’m joining @sentry.io to share how I monitor and debug production issues in Tiny Harvest 🎮 We’ll look at real crashes, debugging workflows, and what changes when you have actual users. Join us 👇 sentry.io/resources/r...

sentry.ioFixing React Native Apps: Don't Let Bugs Crop UpJoin this hands-on workshop to learn how to find and fix bugs in React Native apps using Sentry. From crash reporting to performance monitoring, get the tools to ship with confidence.

My latest video about AI thoughts seems to resonate with many of you. It’s about what AI has changed for me, why I’ve been building indie apps instead of courses lately, and why my YT channel is changing. Maybe we’re all figuring this out together.

Are you building apps with React Native? You should probably target TV devices - it's one of the best choices you can make 👇

In this video I'll walk your through the process of transforming a React Native app with @Expo to a monorepo with Vega OS TV App. You’ll learn: • How to install Amazons MCP and AI Builder Tools • How to refactor your app with AI • How to build a TV native app www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4V...

"Pay 2 win." Every player hates these games. Every indie dev fears these comments. And yet here I am, telling you that it’s probably the best way to monetize and actually make money with your app. Here’s why I still use in-app purchases in my game 👇

How hard is it to run a mobile game alone? Harder than building the game itself. Because building is just one part of it 👇

I built a mobile game completely by myself - no team, no studio, just me. In this video I'm breaking down the full experience: - what went right - what went horribly wrong - what I'd do differently ...and whether it was actually worth it 🤷‍♂️ www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGi...
