So the "advice" doled out in this column makes me INCREDIBLY fucking angry as a former kid who was repeatedly taken to task by teachers for "inappropriate" drawings, culminating in a 9th-grade suspension spurred by Columbine paranoia and residual Satanic Panic. Arionne here says that was JUSTIFIED.

Angry careless day drunk, Pete Hegseth is known for his impatience. He requested Eisenhower’s globe to be moved to his office, but instead of waiting for curators to properly pack & move it he sent his staff to just go get it, and they broke it. Is the Broken Globe a metaphor?

NEW: “In Texas, we fight fraud head-on,” Ken Paxton said last year. Yet records show his trust gave $600K to a convicted fraudster’s new company in 2020, which later wired the trust tens of thousands of dollars before and during his 2023 impeachment. with @texastribune.org

NEW AD: Have you seen these anti-Talarico attack ads? Elon Musk paid for nearly all of them. The world's first trillionaire knows if he drags the most corrupt politician in Texas across the finish line, Ken Paxton will owe him everything. Elon Musk: Texas is not for sale.

America is not a Christian nation. It was never founded as one. That doesn't stop 45% of Americans from saying we *should be* a Christian nation. This election is our chance to show up loudly on the side of secular democracy. Vote Nov. 3, or vote early today in most states. ffrf.us/vote

Just been such a revolution in my worldview to realise that people like Musk actually believe this, this isn't just the nonsense they feed the rubes so they can do coldly rational mercantile calculations in smokey rooms among themselves. No. It's rubes all the way down, they're that stupid.

i don't think we can come to a reasonable compromise with this

JD Vance’s whole tning is just rolling around in shit and then smirking at how grossed out you are. “Oh are you triggered by me slathering myself in human excrement?” That’s it. He’s reveling in the fact that he eats shit and covers himself in shit and you it upsets you and that makes him happy

A very happy birthday to Béla Ferenc Dezső Blaskó, better known as #BelaLugosi, born this day in 1882. Defined forever the appearance of the definitive #vampire, after starring in the 1931 film #Dracula. Then immortalised in #gothicrock by #Bauhaus in their 1979 debut single "Bela Lugosi's Dead"

At some point we have to talk about how Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed for far less than what Donald Trump did and is still actively doing.

According to data from the Federal Election Commission via Ballotpedia and the Capital Research Center, The Lincoln Project has raised approximately $142 million in total revenue since its founding in 2019. Most of that went to ad firms and consultants run by LP friends or board members.

NEW AD: “Ken Paxton says I don't have his experience — and he's right. I’ve never been indicted for fraud. I’ve never been reported to the FBI for bribery. I’ve never been impeached by my own party. And I’ve never given a sweetheart deal to a pedophile.”

This definitely would’ve made it in my Zappa book. One of the book’s focus areas is on the proliferation of white Christian nationalism in the US over the last sixty years, and the key point throughout all that time is that they will always prioritize white supremacy over their faith’s teachings.

The fact that it's called New Mexico is a flex on the fact that the USA stole it from Mexico. Conversely, Calling it New America implies that it is different from America, named by former Americans who wish to remember America fondly. We are ruled by people who are too stupid to be toxic correctly.

The Trump regime has proven to the world that yes, they for goddamned-sure need nuclear weapons because the USA is a fucking loony bin that can't be trusted at all.

Charles Johnson@charles.littlegreenfootballs.com

With Trump’s disastrous, blundering, illegal war, Iran is FAR more likely to achieve nuclear weapons. He’s made it absolutely essential for them to double down on their nuclear efforts.

This is Mad King stuff. Trump and his party are facing a potential drubbing in the midterms, the war in Iran ain't over, prices are increasing, the deficit is ballooning—and he's fixated on a (stupid) plan for redoing a public golf course.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

Trump doesn’t care about the general public. His only concern is walling off public lands into private enclaves and business opportunities for himself and wealthy cronies.
