I grew up on Avatar. I was the target audience when it first premiered in 2005. It hit me like nothing had before. I watched Korra as a teen. It struck a different chord with me but was still very much a magical show. As an adult, I read the books to unwind. But Seven Havens made me pause... 1/...

I managed to put that aside & watched episode 1 tonight. I'm so glad that I did! My misgivings about the setup aside this was an excellent episode. It has that Avatar magic, that heart, that I fell in love with back in 2005. The last scene put my heart in my throat: in a good way! 3/...

I already love Pavi & Jae. The new world is interesting in its own right and the visuals are looking so beautiful. Looking forward to see where this show goes! 4/4

It's the whole 'post-cataclysm' angle. I don't like the idea that the world of the Four Nations that I've loved for 20+ years is just... gone. That Aang's and Korra's sacrifices don't (seem to) matter. It formed a dark cloud over my mind and very felt conflicted about watching it. 2/...

Finally done with my next 3 Horizon builds. First up is the jungle base for my Ravager, little Horizon Forbidden West easter egg in the form of a hidden Greenshine crystal included. 1/5

After that another machine? I've seen a lot of cool designs floating aroudn online and even have some machines designed in Studio just sitting there, waiting to be completed. 4/5

Perhaps I'll also finish this Ninjago Torii gate to go with the 15th anniversary character display? I started that up after binging Dragons Rising and buying a couple of sets but haven't been that big on Ninjago in a couple of monhts now. What do you guys think? 5/5

The 2nd & 3rd builts are Hachiroku's Thunderjaw and a rocky base for it to stand on. Coming in at over 900g it's my heaviest MOC so far. Just like with the Ravager Jungle diorama I included a collectable as an easter egg: an Ancient Vessel hidden in the cave. 2/5

Of course, I have to share the entire update collection. Only the Plowhorn & Snapmaw don't have diorama's yet so I'll be working on those next. I have some ideas (Plainsong fields & 'rocks + water' respectively) but firstly I'm going to design new display base sizes for them to fit on. 3/5

To the few blog readers who follow me on here: Yes, I will review the Witcher 3 Remastered. However, as always, it'll take me a minute. Not only do I have the Saturday shift this week but the 'big' multi-day unnanounced audit at work started today. Time is in short supply this week unfortunately.

Once I removed this image (see below) and reuploaded the review it was all OK. Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to what is so graphic about this image. This unforunate situation has left an impact: I'm a lot more... thoughtfull when it comes to which screenshots I put in my reviews. 2/2

Metroid turned 40 this year, so I'm celebrating with a couple of Metroid videos. First up is a review of the fan-made demake of the first Prime game: Metroid Prime Origins. It's free, and everyone likes free, but is it worth your time? Yeah. Link: youtu.be/XMoE8Jo5jKs

I saw the statement from Kojima Productions today — it doesn’t dispute any of our reporting so I don’t have much to add there. But I will add that (as I said a couple weeks ago), the Physint cancellation came after several months of negotiations between KoPro and Sony. Wasn’t exactly out of nowhere

In a week we got 2 back-to-back big new game releases I'm being my usual weird self by reviewing a nearly 20 year old DS game instead. The Legend of Spyro Dawn of the Dragon is a childhood favourite of mine has it stood the test of time? Was it a good game to begin with? Read my review to find out.

Saw this on reddit with the caption "2027 looking good so far" and yeah, I got agree. At least for me personally, I want to play all these games! ... My wallet is going to hate me!😜

The Zelda one will probably feature: 1. Movie trailer. 2. Trailer & release date for the OoT remake 3. Reveal of Zelda Switch 2 & the Pro Controller 4. Something strange that (almost) no one saw coming I personally would like Twilight Princess and WindWker HD ports... but I doubt it'll happen.

The downside of getting back into Lego? Getting ideas that you don't have the money nor time for to execute, yet are so frustratingly tempting.😫 I've never been into 'scary' things but I can't help but imagine a diorama built with the sets (& 1 moc) below & writing an accompanying short story.

Been working on uprading the blog itself this week. I fixed a bug that caused the 'featured post' to appear at the top and now focused on the unwanted bits in preview texts. A small change that took me 90+ minutes this evening because I had to implement the fix manually for. Every. Single. Post.🫤

Coding is NOT my strong suit but some glitches poppped up that needed to be fixed. The mobile layout is now repaired but my first attempt to improve the desktop layout with something brand new has had... unintended consequences to say the least. Whoopsy-Daisy!😅

Let's focus on the good: a more traditional co-op game with a story mode that can also be played singleplayer is a lot more my speed than a 'live-service, always online multiplayer game'. IF this doesn't get canned, and if the price is right, I might actually pick it up.

BREAKING: PlayStation is rebooting the online game Horizon Hunters Gathering after negative playtest feedback. New plan is smaller scope, more traditional co-op multiplayer, no more live service. Yet another entry in PlayStation's ongoing live-service struggles: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

for the last couple of months, i’ve been feeling aggravated at myself for not playing many of the amazing games that have released so far this year. 🫩❤️‍🩹 i’m trying to shake that feeling away. not every game must be played at release, it’s okay to play later! i’m sure others have felt this, too. 🫂

Another writing update: It took me about a month to write chapter 14. It took me 5 days to write chapter 15. My writing pace is weird you guys!😅
