Hello friends, we know many folks are wondering: will there be a Frosty Mini this year? TL;DR - no, there won’t be a Frosty Mini showcase this December. If you care to understand more about why you can continue on reading this thread, otherwise, thank you and we hope you’re having a great day!!!

We’re so excited that the presence of Frosty has already been so impactful for many local devs. But this also means it can be easy to forget we’re only in our second year of running showcases at all. We have much to learn, and the games marketing landscape is constantly changing!

But one thing remains ever true: ANZ-made games fucking rule, and we will continue to do our VERY BEST to support them. If you read this far you're a real one, thank you!!!

This is not to say that we can’t close this gap over time! And we hope to! But, FOR NOW, we do not believe running a second showcase this December is the best use of our resources.

We’re VERY thankful to our sponsors for supporting us despite a change of plans, and we hope the incredible game developers of ANZ will understand our reasoning here too. We want nothing more than to continue to grow Frosty so it can continue to play an impactful role in your marketing planning.

However, while the Frosty Mini was Pretty GoodTM overall, it did not meet all our expectations and, critically, it did not hit some of the key goals we had for it. Namely, it was not possible to secure some of the key promotional spots we were able to secure for Frosty Games Fest in June.

This left a delta between the performance of our two showcases that was (in our opinion, and in the rightful opinion of many devs) too large.

If you’re still reading this thread, chances are high that you’re a game dev based in ANZ! Hi pals! In the spirit of transparency (and so you can endeavour to make Good Marketing Plans) we owe you an update about the Frosty Mini (our shorter digital showcase which first ran in December 2025).

We created the Frosty Mini because we loved the idea of running two showcases in a year, providing two different calendar opportunities for games to apply rather than everyone’s announcements getting smooshed into one. And we still do!
