Can Bluesky say every word in the dictionary? I dunno but I plan to find out! I made a website that tracks every single word said on bluesky (as of yesterday).

🚀 Announcing BiRP! My *read-only* #Bevy BRP Inspector is now on GitHub. BiRP lets you inspect your game entities, components, and resources using the Bevy Remote Protocol. Hope you find it useful! (Ah! and don't miss the mascot! 😄) Get it here: github.com/doup/birp

There are a lot of critiques of LLMs that I agree with but "they suck and aren't useful" doesn't really hold water. I understand people not using them because of social, economic, and environmental concerns. And I also understand people using them because they can be very useful. Thoughts?

for those of y'all tanglin in the dark—we shipped dark mode! this is just a first pass, and there's probably a few spots that we missed. we'll fix those and improve things as we go. let us know what you think!

pro tip: by using a linux phone as your main, you can make sure you do Exciting things while in public transportation, such as debugging bluetooth audio, rather than boring, normie things, such as listening to music

C++23 has "first-class UB": you, the language user, can make promises and let the program enter UB if you break them. int f(int x, int y) { [[assume(x == 27)]]; [[assume(x == y)]]; return y + 1; // May be optimised to `return 28`. }

yesterday i fixed my laptop. it was a broken key, and i had to replace the entire chassis... even so, i would say it's pretty repairable, so good job by lenovo. :)

this context is important and missing from a lot of articles that cover bluesky / threads - bluesky: $0 marketing spend - threads: injects posts directly into instagram feeds with dark patterns (like trailing `...` instead of the full post) that incentivize users to download the app

atproto and bluesky has been built by a group of extremely talented and thoughtful engineers. it’s pretty remarkable. that said, there was a key piece missing from the architecture! we forgot to first build a social app with hundreds of millions of users to advertise bluesky on.

I made it very far into my career without understanding the difference between JOIN, LEFT JOIN, RIGHT JOIN, and CROSS JOIN. I am in the dark no longer, for better or worse. 😂

You are up to date.
