Approving the Jackdaw gas field solves none of our problems, while contributing to the existential crisis of climate breakdown. The government has privileged special interests above the general interest. It's a shameful, cowardly decision.

Government support for drilling at #Jackdaw takes a wrecking ball to any pretence of UK climate leadership & pours fuel on an overheating world - and for what? It’s equivalent to just 2 months of UK gas demand, creates just 27 direct jobs & has *no* impact on energy bills🧵1/4

A wildcard was played. Avoided triple Spurs and Szobo because it just felt wrong. I kept Bruno, who will score at some point? GL all

Very strangely the 10 trade unions calling on the government not to approve the Rosebank oil field are getting a lot less coverage today than the one trade union calling on the government to green light more fossil fuel projects. www.businessgreen.com/news/4537337...

Might have been wrong on the latter point

GW5: I expect to be mauled but I’m rolling again to 4 FT. And I’m owed DCL’s real goal from last week 🤬

The second thing is that now we can build up to 5 FT and hold them through a wildcard makes them really valuable for later in the season. Injuries to key players happen and I don't like firefighting because I've only got 1 FT available.

On top of that, to be able to make strong moves later in the season needs FTs in the bank. Also strengthens the value of your chips as you can cover injuries leading up to a BB. That's my hypothesis and I'm happy to test it this season. Gotta finish better than 200K ... right?

A modest mauling. 36pts and down to 870K. I’m banking on the 4FT being worth it

To explain my 'strategy', if indeed anyone cares: I believe, and I'm not alone in this, that it takes ~6 weeks of the season for teams to settle and you can't really tell who's good and who isn't until then. I place a high value on this.
