decided to put one-eye in the car for the block home. Upon pulling up at my house, a UPS truck pulled up asking if I was okay. I said yeah, and explained the cat situation. The driver said he was worried I was dumping the cat and that he'd "seen the worst in humanity" on his job.

As a broke-ass educated, professional American, I'm here to say that the anxiety of the last 48 hours was high. I'm a pragmatist. Water, canned food, etc. for my family. As a humanist, I'm worried about the everyday folks. As an ASPCA member, I'm concerned about the pets. WTF, America?!
