A song by my father-in-law, www.terrysarten.co.nz, inspired by the famous 'first they came for' poem. He asked me to post this here, and I'm happy to: it's chilling and horrifying seeing the violence and death that the American government is using against it's people.

"Ending the chilling effect of pay secrecy will allow employees to discuss their pay more freely, and allow any unfairness or discrimination in pay to be remedied." #nzpol www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...
It really is the case that Trump thinks that buying things from elsewhere is losing trade, everything must be made in America. The US trade position cannot be resolved because it is incomprehensible. Also Trump is all poster brain now.
Trump is posting his tariff "letters" to various countries on Truth Social, with Japan and South Korea posted so far. He also ends the letters with "thank you for your attention to this matter!"
Yeah this reads grim. Venture capital positing the diversity of Auckland as attractive to medical experimentation by larger tech companies as the c-suite have the ear of a government already willing to remove regulations for any promise of economic benefit.
Changes intended to encourage overseas investment followed conversations with wealthy American tech leaders.
This is just so cool been reading @dresdencodak.com for 20(?) years go do it it's good for you.

LRT with every of these “NFTs deleted; now worthless” stories coming out I need you to remember that we were told it’s the future, it’s inevitable, its the future of money and your house will be registered on it and your car will be registered on it and if you don’t get it NOW you’ll be left behind.
#1000xresist @sunsetvisitor.studio you done did amazing this game will be a touch point for me for some time. It's in my backpack.

Wading back into the river of posts like a bad-take berserker
Anyway, history is just a sequence of millions and millions of similar events. You can try to categorize them into broad trends, with a little success, but it’s tough and wildly incomplete. Ultimately stuff like this is always going to be what determines the future, and it’s truly unpredictable.
Haha fuck yeah military subs for the government best timeline 100% Tesla knows how to get things out of the sky what the fuck is happening
Elon Musk's SpaceX is the frontrunner to build Trump's "Golden Dome" missile shield. SpaceX is proposing a subscription service where the government would pay to access the technology, rather than own it. Experts think the project could cost hundreds of billions. www.reuters.com/business/aer...
Seems like escalation on the language used by American envoys here from pre ceasefire. "Bombs don't kill people, being a hostage does" is wild. www.aljazeera.com#flips-637157...

It is a good sign when politicians identifying basic shapes and colours like a toddler is the exception rather than the norm
Vance is on the record today saying it makes sense that America has a trade deficit in bananas, and while it's great he's acknowledged the basic fact that we don't grow bananas, it requires me to remind you that THEY CAN EXEMPT BANANAS FROM TARIFFS AT ANY TIME AND REFUSE TO DO IT

"Pregnant People" seems pretty sex-specific to me, perhaps our government could get its head out of America's culture war bullshit. www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Rise up ye downtrodden, take thy pitchfork and by doing so your freedom.
A company is like a kingdom, and as CEO I am a sort of a king. Managers: my liege lords. Sales team, you are my soldiers. Devs are court wizards. And Customer Support is kind of like, you know, the lowborn… not peasant exactly, but like: help me out here. The wormy sort of, dirty, plaguey villagers
We now have the graphs showing the ability of the group to be stupider than the sum of its parts as we see the market whipsaw around the suggestion that things, while still terrible, aren't as bad as they could have been (for now).
This feels like the captain of a 747 taking an intentional nose dive to crash the plane & kill all of the passengers. At the last second, the captain pulls up & saves the plane. Then gets on the loudspeaker & says, "Sign up for 200 more flights with me!" & SOME motherfuckers ACTUALLY signed up. 😵💫
