I have a friend who stopped talking to me over Chuck Norris. When he died I sent him an article. The friend said “Good, fuck that racists.” I had no clue about any of Chuck’s politics. I don’t exactly pay attention to Chuck Norris news. My friend hasn’t talked to me since. This shit is nuts.

I’m a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan. Never really had a choice, it’s a family thing. But I’ve also always liked Seattle teams because of their branding. The Seahawks, Mariners and Kraken for sure. If the Seahawks win, I may need to buy a hat or shirt.

The heart of all the problems we’re having right now, is that we’ve allowed far too much money in politics. Ban corporate political donations. Ban lobbyists. Ban PACs and Super PACs. Greatly limit individual donations (to both party and candidate), as well as personal contributions.

Simply abolishing ICE isn’t enough. Abolish and prosecute. If we vote in another administration on 2028, and they do nothing to ensure criminals are held accountable (again), then I’m out. I’m done with all of it.

2025 was a pretty solid year. Business is up 20%, family and friends are healthy and happy. I spent time outside, hiking with the pup, nearly every day. Overall I can’t complain.

20ish years ago, I had a friend I played games with on XBL every day. He went by the gamer tag SmellyMonkey. He was from New Jersey a thousand miles from me. One day, we played our last game together, even though we didn't know it would be. I often think about him and hope he's doing well.

Unfortunately, the only people who even knew this was happening, were terminally-online people. Less than 1% of 1% of 1% of people probably even knew this was happening and only a very small percentage of those likely participated. The impact is smaller than a typical rounding error for Amazon.

Monster Hunter Wilds is pretty fun. But trying to play with friends is a nightmare. Especially if you were expecting to be able to play the story with friends (you mostly can't). It's 2025... Grouping up in a AAA game shouldn't feel more antiquated than the old GameSpy days...
