NEW: DSA's National Political Committee passed two resolutions today aimed at Los Angeles mayoral candidate Nithya Raman, beginning processes that could result in DSA-LA being forced to rescind its endorsement of her this weekend and/or Raman herself being expelled from DSA by January.

i think i'm finally gonna give linux a shot this year. windows 11 is pissing me off and i don't have a macbook. only big problem is, as a geography major, i'm gonna have to use ArcGIS and that only runs on windows. gonna have to see if dual-booting or virtualization works for me

i've already been using libreoffice for years, i don't really engage with the adobe suite at all, all the pc gaming i do is through steam… can't think of many other potential sticking points

interesting article but i will say software just looks like that sometimes. UPS Store enterprise software looks like it was from Windows 98, and the aesthetics are really the least of its problems

read Emily Wilson's article on THE ODYSSEY. fairly dour and i don't really agree with the conclusion or some of the claims, but it's an interesting read—refreshingly direct. I think I'll pick up a copy of her translation sometime

yknow not to be holier-than-thou or anything but i am a bit surprised that in all of the criticism of argentina that i've been seeing lately there's been nothing about the conquest of patagonia, which was certainly a far greater atrocity than the falklands war
