Because I'm morbid and apparently like to be depressed, I'm watching that Matthew Perry doc on Netflix. But depressing as it is, the clips of him doing physical comedy have really made me laugh. He was good at that.

People seem angry that YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING isn't the same HBO they've seen 3,000 times. Also they're mad they can't watch it in three 50 minute installments.

it is well known that in a real documentary people aren’t allowed to lie

“'You Can See Everything' is a hilarious, thrilling, fascinating, beautiful piece of art. What it certainly is not is a documentary, and it’s dangerous to pretend that it is,” writes Theranos whistleblower Tyler Shultz. https://bit.ly/4Bk2nDJ

I don't know who the wicked apothecary behind this show is, but I've read the novel. There's some dark shit in that book.

The Devils (1971). You can only make something this obscene, this blasphemous, this beyond the pale if your fear and love of God is this genuine and absolute. Which is why among the many things The Devils is, is a more profound work of religious art than anything Angel Studios will ever cough up.
