"All of you wokists complaining that it materially supports atrocities, but you're too dumb to consider: what if it's yummy??" Is this the single most The Spectator opinion ever?

So hard to pick a favorite part of this article. Pretending that sending unsolicited dick pics at 53 was a “youthful indiscretion” is good, but don’t sleep on the argument that his wife forgave him for subjecting other women to unwanted nude photos so everyone else should too

Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”

there’s no such thing as “strategic bigotry.” I know this because there is no amount of money you could pay me to become a bigot. the democrats who do this agree to do it because they’re bigots

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

Ugh. The whiny needledicks pulling the handcart to hell. I’d take whatever “feminine energy” is over brittle masculinity any day. Go to therapy and leave us all alone, you broken boys.

“Palantir cofounder and CEO Alex Karp states ‘AI will undermine the influence of highly educated, often female voters and give it to working class men. We have feminine energy running our cities and our courts,’ he complained.”

I gave $1000 because trans journalists need support. We cis people need trans journalists to help us better understand the world! Please join me in supporting the TJA.

Trans Journalists Association@transjournalists.org

We're digging our heels in. 🥾👠 TJA is raising $25,000 by Dec 1 for trans and gender-expansive journalists, because we're in this work for the long haul. And we're just getting started! Give today: bit.ly/DiggingOurHeelsIn

this is such an incredible villain origin story, my god. "my children cut me off...and on that day i became The Estranger, dedicating my life to both defending & defrauding other estranged parents"

Michael Hobbes@michaelhobbes.bsky.social

As far as I can tell, literally every article on this quotes the same "expert" — a former estranged father who has an entire blog dedicated to absolving parents of any responsibility. He also sells $995 "consultations" where he will blame your kids for cutting you off.

Holmes deliberately tries to cast a narrative around herself where she tries to portray her obvious sociopathy as harmless neurodivergence, which is fascinating, and makes it clear why they chose Nathan Fielder whose work is coloured by the type social disconnection caused by neurodivergence.

It's a key part of conservative ideology: "I have no obligations to you and I can treat you however I like, but you are required to love me."

Sally Rooney: To publish my work in the UK could now constitute a serious criminal offence. After a process of consultation and deliberation, and with my full agreement, my publisher Faber has therefore determined that it can no longer supply my work within the UK. www.irishtimes.com/culture/book...

One thing I learned since moving to the UK is that publishing dates on the Waterstones’ website mean nothing. So I got the new @premeemohamed.com a couple weeks after the US pub date, but a couple weeks before Waterstones originally said I would. Excited to read it regardless!

Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played

One thing I find endlessly funny about the rise of AI is that it has revealed that there is a large number of people who believe that the reason they wrote essays at school or university is their teachers were desperately waiting for them to provide a definite answer to “Lear: what’s up with him?”

Dr Dean Burnett@drdeanburnett.bsky.social

"By using AI, tasks like essays that used to take hours can be completed in minutes!" Sure, like how if I arrive at the gym and immediately go for a shower, my workout is done in record time. And if I throw my sandwiches straight in the bin, I can finish my lunch in under 10 seconds.

Just saw someone say their AI runs their fantasy football team and I can’t stop laughing. Like, I’m sure everyone’s doing it or something but it’s very funny to me that pretending to be a team manager was so hard that you needed to pretend to pretend to be a team manager

If you are going to argue with a co-worker over email, maybe stop hitting reply all. Why spam my (and several other coworkers’) inbox with your petty shit? How are people not embarrassed doing that shit?
