Deadward Button

#promosky Been too busy to do a new post for October! Hi! I'm Ed. Professionally tired dad of 4 that works with low-income folk, and I help my wife with her non-profit that helps foster kids. Beyond that, I'm into: - Video games - Magic the Gathering - Writing - Politics - Other nerd stuff

We are a completely unserious country

She is up to $220 the next goal is in sight. She was excited to see the total this evening. And we got some good book recs too

strong closing argument for next week

I think we underestimate the appeal of antigambling politics because every problem gambler is surrounded by 3-10 people who are absolutely sick of their shit.

So awesome you all first goal already down. I told her I’d show her how much when she got home from school. Be great if hit some more.

Was thinking about the Trump BURRRRT and the “mouth agape for 8 seconds” face before I took a nap and ended up having a dream about Trump being put on a throne like the Emperor of Mankind in 40k except he continued to make fucked up noises.

Look what Jared Kushner took from you

Y’all ever think about how “maybe” and “maybe not” mean the same thing?

Wife is on the road to see AFI in concert and I have never been more jealous than I am here, now, in this moment.

we cannot co-exist with people like this. we either find a way to excise them, or we let them choke us with their ignorance.

Airbnb went from a cheap way to crash in a spare bedroom or rent a vacation house for a weekend and turned into "what if hotels openly hated you and acted like they were doing you a favor by letting you give them hundreds of dollars to stay there, and also it's more expensive"

Nothing will prepare you for this sound.

Finally got to see the Bayou Tapestry.

Fully convinced Vivek Ramaswamy bet against himself winning the governor's race on one of the gambling apps and is now trying to run the campaign into the ground and cash out.

RIP to one of the best to ever do it.

It's not news but it really is striking that Republicans literally have no morality whatsoever. For all their appeals to tradition and "values" it's just a completely alien concept for them, other than as something to be used as a weapon against disfavored groups

there are tons of legitimate criticisms of a folding phone that cost $2000 but i'm having a good laugh at "you will scroll tiktok less because of the aspect ratio" as the leading negative bullet point on an iphone duo review is funny. oh no my brain poison

Okay, here's the deal, I stupidly bought NBA 2K27 as a digital code on NewEgg.com because I had a promo code, but I bought it for the wrong console and I can't return it. Not a contest, but reply to this post with your favorite Onion sports headline and I'll straight up give one of you the game.

It’s called Steam Next Fest because you hope the next one is better.

“This car can fly and you will be able to buy it” “The cybertruck can briefly serve as a boat” “Your car can do unsupervised autopilot by 2017” “This machine can do 12,000 tests with a single drop of blood” why is only one of these statements fraud

This is the core of Boomer mentality. They climbed the ladder built by thier predecessors and now want to pull it up behind them. Claiming they "worked hard" for what they have (they didn't, at least not as hard as they think) and now don't want to lend the hand they were afforded.
