Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too. Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course. – George

Wildwood is good. But... I think it was a mistake to animate on 1s. Twice as much work only to make the movie look LESS special. They worked SO HARD to make their film look like generic CGI animation. Without the choppiness I kept forgetting it was hand animated...

Instead of using an AI Agent to drain people's bank account into your own, can someone have the AI just set literally every bank balance on earth, private and corporate, to an equal mean average of the total of human wealth, delete all backups databases and then just wait

Has anyone tried just deep frying nothing? Just bread crumbs and batter around a bread crumb and batter core? Why do we even need the protein when its really the fry dredge that we like?

The BBC charter section 6.4: "...the BBC should accurately and authentically represent and portray the lives of the people of the United Kingdom today, and raise awareness of the different cultures and alternative viewpoints that make up its society"

Bethany wore a “Protect The Dolls” t-shirt during rehearsals. The BBC posted it on their socials then quietly deleted and reposted it without showing her from the front. On TV last night they actually blurred the message #Strictly

Dear indie JRPG developers... That's enough Paper Mario QTEs now. If you want to add a real time aspect, please bring back FF4-9 style ATB. Thanks.

Has anyone else noticed how deeply in denial YouTube is about Ocarina of Time remake? Everything we've seen shows it to be basically 1:1, minus those few changes you already know about. That's it. No light temple, no new side quests, no new items. It's 1:0.99 and change. Get over it.

Many equal & opposite reactions to OoT remake's art style. I'm starting to wonder if it's a blue/gold dress type situation. It seems to flit between very beautiful & uncannily ugly, depending on the vibe of the particular youtuber I'm watching (& weirdly my own perception seems to change to match?)

The more I get used to seeing it, the more I actually like the new art style! Greebled Link is honestly not so bad, but I do think they could push the detailing back just a TINY bit to make the whole thing feel clean. Here's a quick Photoshop, just removing a few frills for me gives it back its pop.

I just realised, if you can't manually raise your shield (it just auto raises with target), then we'll never get to see Young Link turtle under the Hylian Shield because it's too big for him...

Starfox came out & showed us EXACTLY what to expect from OoT. A controversial new look, some reimagined cutscenes, small changes to the level design & modernised controls/UI. Somehow we all convinced ourselves that Zelda would go in a different direction, but nah, that was pretty much the template.

The kokiri tunic is much too busy. That's really my only real hard complaint. I'm really impressed with how they've straddled the line between reimagining and 1:1, it's honestly very faithful, but not slavishly so. Every room is "that same room but"

I'm 38 and it only just occured to me, I don't have to move to Japan, I could just buy a heated kotastu table/blanket set for my house here in England...

Okay, after all the new cycles about GTA6 I've been trying to avoid commenting on, I've watched the latest trailers and I kinda feel I have to say something, so I've been collecting some thoughts while out walking about the state of gaming generally. This might be a long thread so bare with me.

What horseshit. She embraced gay people at the height of the AIDS crisis, embraced trans people at the height of the war against them, supported Black communities and artists, and wrote the most pro-worker's rights feminist pop song of all time. Neutral my ass

Your daily reminder that the real world is not social media. 99% of people are not choosing their video games based on ideologies. Most people will just buy it hoping it'll be fun. That's it.

it’s crazy to me that anyone is still planning to play gta 6

And you definitely don't want to use a high-powered 532nm green laser, because it can permanently burn and disable digital camera CMOS or CCD sensors. Green light is absorbed at a very high efficiency by these electronic sensors, meaning concentrated beams easily melt or overload the pixel array.

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.

Starfield is almost three years old now and in that time I have yet to see a single piece of fanart or meme or anything about the contents of the game itself. The extent to which they spent years on that game only for it to be met with a resounding cultural disinterest is fascinating

When people say someone is "serving cunt" do they mean they have some cunt and they're offering it up, or they're subservient to cunts and are offering something a cunt might like?
