Copying across some facts (a thread that will run on, and that is entirely true if you look it up): 1. Everest is not the tallest mountain on earth. It’s also not the furthest from the centre of the earth.

As usually usual, the Giro is a much better parcour than the TdF

Tour de France route reveal day

Tour de France route reveal day. There are lots online who have spent a lot of time tracking down the clues but I try to avoid them. It's a bit like when my brother worked out where our parents were storing our christmas presents before the big day. I didn't look because didn't want to spoil the day

I’m not a doctor but I reckon allowing anyone - let alone your most expensive asset - play after developing a blood clot on transatlantic flight, and then flying them back after, is probably not the greatest idea?

This will not go as well as the Carapaz signing. He’s probably a fifth of the price, mind.

I read this that I might have a chance getting a gig at EF now. That squad is empty.

The Eagles announce Jalen Hurts is OUT Sunday against Carolina with a blood clot. And, Whoa. Whatever could go wrong, is going on in Philadelphia right now, but the biggest picture read and concern from this has to be for Jalen Hurts’ long-term health.

Mad that in the late 80s in the UK there was a regulatory conversation that determined depicting use of a massive katana, twin sai, a bo staff, and some nunchucks was okay, but having the word ‘ninja’ in the title of a cartoon was not.

On 8th Oct 1952 the worst civilian rail disaster in UK history happened in London. 112 deaths. 340 wounded. That accident, and the actions of one woman from Florida have saved THOUSANDS of lives since. That disaster helped lead to the creation of paramedics. /1 🧵 www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU60...

Whereas I think it’s a good thing that Badenoch is positioning the Tories against Reform rather than trying to appeal to them like Johnson did, saying that no-one questioned Wright or Barnesy’s Englishness is a bit rich if you know, I dunno, anything at all about the history of English football.

Josh Self@josh.politics.co.uk

Kemi Badenoch takes on Suella Braverman and Reform over Englishness:

Given he’s been the mouthpiece of the City PR, one could read Samuel writing this highlights a pivot from ‘we done nuffin wrong’ to ‘the rules were bad in the first place’. It’s a better argument from a comms point of view. Would also suggest City have little confidence in winning the appeal.

Sachin Nakrani@sachinnakrani.bsky.social

That’s one way to look at it, I guess.

Every time I do a turbo session I try and listen to a different album (a few exceptions over the years). Have just downloaded the Strava data and we’re sunny side of 400 now. Don’t know what I will do with this info when I’ve catalogued them 🤔

Perhaps rank each for how they rate for a hard workout or a zone two sesh. Or Insta/aTikTok reviews to that effect. Needless to say, Bob Dylan’s Christmas album will be rock bottom of both. The Menzingers latest album - Everything I Ever Saw - is the best new one from this year.

If Man Utd have expressed an intention to sue Man City (and fair enough) surely they will also need to sack their current CEO given he was COO of City previously?
