If you ever believed Luigi's hands moved oddly smoothly in Luigi's Mansion, you were right: the game nearly always runs at 30 FPS except for cutscenes that are close-up shots of Luigi's hands, which are the only times the game renders gameplay at 60 FPS.

Sorry for the long winded post chain, I wanted to get something off my chest that I've been thinking about the past year or so. What I'm trying to say is you should write down on what you believe the viewers should initially feel, and how those feelings should change, regardless of project scope.

Video game stories can be told purely by gameplay or visuals. Having tons of lore while good for wikis and Youtube videos, is confusing for the viewer to grasp long-term. Good writing isn't about making massive universes, it is telling a story with payoff and resolve that people can easily pick up.

Comedy is also an element of a story, you can write intriguing stories with comedy. An original joke that ties into a narrative will always hit harder than one-dimensional references or memes. If anything, creating original jokes and gags will have stronger meme staying power than references.

If you wish to see media improve then creators will need to push away from brain rot. People need stories with messages, they need themes, they need a developing story that resonates with the audience. Funny jokes with little depth are short-term distractions that create shallow media.

Glad I set up an igloo interior workflow long ago - Really saving my life now! When I tweak things, all the cuts, tesselation, and tiles update non-destructively. Imagine doing this all by hand because you need to move a piece of furniture. *shudder* #gamedev #indiedev #b3d

one of the most consistent and longstanding aspects of Kermit as a character is that he's an on the scene news reporter and like lowkey they (Jim) were onto something with that
