I’m actually running like a well-oiled machine. Except it’s the wrong oil, the check-engine light is on, and the brakes barely work

So we're all burnt out and miserable right?

Digging up USB HID Hex codes is such a fun rabbit hole. For anyone curious, MacOS’s “Mission Control” key is not the same as F3 key. Same with the “Launchpad” key. They actually have dedicated hex codes: www.usb.org/sites/defaul...

Tonight’s shenanigans: adding a key that trigger’s MacOS’s mission control view (since my keyboard doesn’t have it)

This is actually my 2nd attempt, now using the Neokey Trinkey. The first one I made was using a generic arduino single-key board but didn’t accept mech-key switches as is, so it was kind of a hack and had to superglue it to the keyboard case

What if color blindness isn’t necessarily hereditary? It just so happened that the color-blind parent taught their kid the wrong colors, so now the kid thinks green is blue Follow for more dumbass thoughts

We have to take more caution than ever when choosing dependencies. A vibe coded project is often a short lived one. It's very tempting to pull someone's fancy new library, but will they still be maintaining it in a year?

my employer has asked me to stop telling PMs "suffice it to say, it is out of my hands and into god's" when asked for project status updates

my employer has asked me to stop responding to requests with “light work for a beast like me”

ebooks are bad for me because iwill buy them and forget i have them whereas physical books can sit and shame me on a surface

I got tired from driving all day so I did the best thing to relax when I got home: Open my laptop and play Euro Truck Simulator

It remains utterly astounding to me how many websites fail to work at all in Firefox. The entire business is built on the app functioning properly for all users, and you couldn't even be bothered to clear that low bar? Did nobody even try it? How does this happen?

You are up to date.
