I read an early version of this despite Auston’s best attempts at stopping me. It’s fun! Especially for fans of a particular real Boston heist.

But it's okay because the richest person in the world has built a car that sort of flies.

Every book I write, I try to do something a little different to challenge myself, so my brain does not become weak and flabby. Here's how I handled that with the forthcoming Eternity's Tomb!

I got to play a quiz game very similar to a long-running TV show against my pals @snell.zone and @glennf.com (also former contestants on said show), and we did it for a great cause: the annual @relay.fm for St. Jude fundraiser!

Thanks to vacation, start of school, and a bunch of other stuff, it took me longer than I'd hoped, and I ended up shooting past my initial estimated word count, but the first draft of the next book is...done. The words, there they are! Next up, the far harder task of making them the right ones.

I was interested to notice that iPad only got mentioned a few times during the iPhone Duo announcement. Despite the Duo's internal size, the company is just positioning it as a big iPhone.

Like someone still has to be out there creating the knowledge the AI is going to chop up and regurgitate later on. I truly do understand that the technology can be powerful and transformative but it has to have something to transform. The research can’t all be just on improving the regurgitation.

I understand that funding bodies want to go all in on AI as the shiny new innovation thing. But if all the grants start going to AI at the expense of everything else then the research sector is going to end up looking like a farm with dozens of threshers hacking away in a field with no wheat.

I mean, I'm here for "shark just eats Nazis".
