Another shipment delivered! Cornwall 🇬🇧 → Dunkirk 🇫🇷 2,500 items have now arrived in France! From clothes and hygiene items to footwear, tents and sleeping bags, these items will now be distributed to people on the move and refugees in Dunkirk by Mobile Refugee Support

Moving over to our work in the US - Disaster Response & Preparedness: July 2025 – June 2026

Over the past year, we’ve continued to strengthen the US Disaster Preparedness Network, acting as a bridge between a nationwide network of grassroots groups, and large actors like INGOs and businesses. We’ve also added our HRT toolkits to several of the regions we support within this response.

Ongoing conflict across the Levant has left healthcare infrastructure under severe strain and medical needs at critical levels. Despite being unable to deliver aid directly to Palestine this year, we continued to support people impacted by these conflicts through shipments to Jordan and Lebanon.

Recapping our European Refugee Support response: July 2025 – June 2026 Through 5 shipments, we delivered 228,118 essential aid items worth $985,166 to people on the move in Greece, France, Ukraine and the Balkans.

Supplies included hygiene items, winter clothing, shoes, tents and sleeping bags, helping to meet the essential needs of people navigating harsh conditions.

It’s that time of year when we reflect on everything we’ve achieved over the past year! 🌍 Across 4 responses and 17 shipments, we delivered 1,723,466 essential items worth $1,552,627, reaching communities throughout Europe, the Levant and the US.

From healthcare and hygiene supplies to shelter and emergency aid, these essential items met 444,088 months of people’s needs. Thank you to our partner organisations, donors, supporters, volunteers, and everyone else who has helped make this work possible 💙

Last Friday, Distribute Aid team members delivered a 90 minute workshop to grassroots organisations about how to source more aid for free for their projects!

Our aid sourcing coordinator Shannon walked organisers though the full aid sourcing process: assessing what you need, building an outreach list, crafting a pitch that resonates with donors, and knowing when to say yes (or no) to an offer.

We were very happy to facilitate the donation of a pallet of toothpaste (that’s just about 10,000 travel-sized tubes!) earlier this month! The 10,000 tubes have gone from Ireland to @christianrefugeerelief in the Netherlands

What happens when aid supplies reach their destination? 📦 Thanks to World Centric, ALAN, Afya, and Lifting Hands International, who have previously pre-positioned supplies with us at strategic locations.

That meant we were recently able to deliver a vanload of food containers, diapers, nitrile gloves, hand sanitizer wipes and socks to local groups in Gary, Indiana. These supplies are among those now being distributed by local groups to people impacted by last month’s storm.

400 packs of period products are on their way to communities recovering from disaster 🫂 Some of the supplies are heading to Gary Indiana, to support people recovering from last month’s storm, and the rest will be pre-positioned in Athens, Georgia, ready for when they’re needed.

Menstrual products may not seem like a key part of disaster relief, but when communities are displaced, and access to sanitation facilities and stores is disrupted, a consistent supply of period products and hygiene items can be extremely hard to come by.

✈️15,000 critical medical items picked up for Lebanon 🩺 We rarely send shipments by air, but with Israel’s continued attacks and medical supplies critically low, the scale of urgent medical need across Lebanon remains huge ❤️‍🩹

Our partners @aneraorg.bsky.social selected the most vital items from a larger stock we have pre-positioned with the help of our wonderful partners Afya to be sent to the Levant by sea. The shipped items ranged from wound dressings and first aid kits to tourniquets, wheelchairs and adult diapers.
